C350e owners club

I recognise that car park!
Make that another one from June......only once a week in the office on average though.
Someone must be able to get hold of figures for the numbers of EV & PHEV's ordered and maybe we could ask for some more charge points??
Could be wishful thinking though.

I'm in twice a week from Coventry. Would have been good if 20% of my journey was on electric. Although the figures guys are getting are a lot less.

I did ask if charging points were going to be added in Buck Ave. The answer was NO and NO plans in the future.

Mind you we are lucky to get lunch in that office :(

I live 2.5 mile (as discussed before) from work, and to be honest, with a 13mil max on electric, and up-hill on the way - it drops to 4 or 5 by the time i get to work, and free rolls back home with about 1 mile left on electric.

Therefore even with a 2.5 mile trip (5 mile return) - i will need to charge every day to be able to use the battery part properly.

Unfortunatley i cant get a charger at home, so i am relying on work. WHilst they have 2 chargers, they are getting more this year, and implementing a card based system for staff. Just holding out hope theydo it same, as so far i'm on 30mpg lifetime! eeeek!

I was finally hoping i got the right car for my trips this time, but its not quite there yet. Hopefully it'll warm up a bit and improve. And the electric will help with the chargers - should see that mpg rocket up a bit!

Another one joins the flock.

First impressions are fantastic. Beautifully light and airy, I went for pano roof and beige Artico. The immediate torque is a delight, the Sport and Sport+ are rather exciting but very early days with those. The active lane assist - the self steering bit - seems to work on any road (thought it would just be motorways) so this will take some getting used to. Probably be selective with this as its immediately a bit nannying on a country lane.

And, how did I ever park before without a 360 camera? The yellow guidelines give you a perfect view of where the nose is going while you concentrate on the rear. All very clever.

All the night-time light show fun to come after dark...

My new toy was apparently shipped to Tilbury, moved to a depot in Purfleet, PDI checked there and then delivered direct to me today from Purfleet. It's a lease car, via a Dealership in Leicester but the car never went anywhere near Leicester.

Also seems it didn't get plugged in to a diagnostics unit in this process so, unless I've not looked at the correct screen yet, I'm missing the software upgrade.

Headlamp dipping

A quick question for the "haves" from a "still not have got" (but only two weeks to go....

I ordered the ILS as I was told that it would allow a configuration change to cater for right-hand dipping when driving in Europe. The sleek lines of the headlamp covers don't seem to favour any sort of masking. My 2008 C-class is difficult enough.

Can anyone comment on this, please?

Some questionable bits in an otherwise well built car .....does everyone have this in the rear door arch?

Identical gap
I'm sure someone else on here has posted photos of a similar panel gap but I can't seem to find it. Looks pretty bad from the photos and definitely needs taking back IMHO. [emoji53]

O think the previous ones were estates? Not seen it on the saloon yet :/

Identical gap

Folks, these are not design or production line flaws- although they might look like one!
The gaps are left in order to drain the water that is channeled through the vertical and horizontal edges of the door frames.

Not perfect but it works!

Mark.

Yeah I spotted this gap on my saloon the other day!

Hi Eagle - thanks for clearing that up. It is strange that some vehicles seem to have the gap and others don't. It's one of the first things I'll check when mine finally arrives! [emoji106]

That was top of my checklist when I received mine on Friday. Premium Estate and mine did not have gaps as per the pictures, the aluminium is flush fitting so far as I can tell.

(...probably not aluminium but you know what I mean, the shiny chromed bit).

Perhaps its as the weather gets warmer and I'm travelling in daylight to and from work, but I'm finally getting close to the 19 mile range. 18 miles came up at 98% charge today. :thumb:
