Identical gap
Hmmm. Slight gap. But no way near as big.

Perhaps its as the weather gets warmer and I'm travelling in daylight to and from work, but I'm finally getting close to the 19 mile range. 18 miles came up at 98% charge today. :thumb:

The total miles available on electric depends on how you have driven the car recently. It works the same as the fuel range. If you boot it everywhere you will get less if you know what I mean.

It works on how you drive, and I think it's linked with the Eco report page. If you have been a. Good boy it will give you more miles.

If you reset the trip meter from last reset (not from start) you will get the 19 miles.

To be honest I bearly get 9 miles out of mine at the mo, regardless on what the car says.

Feel a bit cheated by mb to be honest.

I've definitely seen an increase in range as the car is loosening up and the temp is increasing. Still not getting any close to 19 miles ... but it has increased from around 8/9 miles in the cold weather when the car was new to around 12/13 now.

Hoping it'll continue to improve as the temp increases.

Just to say, I've now done a total of 483 miles and my car is showing a yellow engine fault light on the dashboard (the one inside the rev counter). Engine still seems to run ok but I've mostly been using electric power only for the last couple of weeks.

I'll plug in my OBD2 dongle tonight and try to see if it shows any fault codes.

Overall average MPG over 483 miles is 38.2mpg. Full charge is only showing 14 miles max electric range (which is probably more like 9-10 in the real world). Bit disappointing. If it wasn't for the BIK savings I would not have bought this car.

After an 11 month wait and 15 days ownership mine was trailered away yesterday. Hybrid system failure. Car wouldn't start, go into neutral or charge. I also would not have bought this car if I knew of its shortcomings before I ordered. It's been one disappointment after another. Any prospective owners:be warned. I'll update when I know more about the issue and fix

Mine has now been in the dealership since the 2nd of March. They are still waiting for a hose which is not available (and not the part that is broken)
I have now told the leasing company that I want to reject the car. Lets see if Merc spring into action!!!!

Under the new consumer rights act we have 30 days to reject (without having to allow mb to repair) if there is a serious fault. A real shame that it has to come to this but I will be reminding my dealer of this fact when I get an update on the repair. I wonder if any other new modern mb has had such terrible reliability from new.

I've had some weird issues (Or at least odd things)happenning over the last 2 days. yesterday i went for a quick spin, had 4 miles of battery left, yet it wouldnt let me change to electric mode (hybrid, e-save etc) - and just used the engine. Thought it was odd at the time, but generally i can use the battery right down to 0 normally... So i hit it in charge, and it went up to 6, and then let me use battery down to 2... ! Can't explain that one.

And this morning, i had just hit 1 bar of fuel (Sub 30'ish miles i assume?) - and it almost immediatley went into electric only mode. (Pretty sure there was a good few litres of fuel in there) - not a major issue i have a full charge and i'm directly opposite a garage (That i was going to fill up at anyway)...

It just seems it decides when it wants to do things with no standardized set of rules... I'm wondering if internally it was just saying "Screw mondays"... :P

Anyway a full charge has gone back from 17 miles to 12 miles. (Will hit reset again and drive like miss daisy on the way home to see if that will improve :P ).

Mine showed 16 today - highest it has been but have only had the car less than 4 weeks - done 2500 miles so far.

I am getting used to the different settings to get the best mpg - got over 61mpg from 70 miles range.

Driving down to London from Milton Keynes best seems to be eco and hybrid and start with a full battery and in the stop start traffic of 6.00am the car will be fully charged by the time I hit the traffic going in to the centre of London - then E-Mode in - I seem to get around 45mpg - about the same as my 520D on the same run at the same time.

Just wondered if anyone has done any calculations as to how many units and therefore costs of charging a C350e ?

Its a 6.2kWh battery and this is backed up by it pulling about 3kWh while charging and taking two hours. My electric is 13.33p/kWh (the variable bit, a little bit is a fixed flat rate) so I reckon about 85p per charge? Waiting for my first electric bill though!

So I left work with 18 miles of battery charge... I drive 1 mile to a petrol station fully on ECO and free rolling half the way. I then drive 2.5 miles home. Mainly flat and again free rolling etc as much as possible. I now have 8 miles of charge left. Go figure! (In hybrid but no engine kick in at all)... so 3.5 miles of use equals 10 miles of charge. Ouch. And the was the downhill route home. Getting to work... yeah not gonna happen on leccy!

Assuming 10 miles real world range on a full charge, that equates to 8.5p per mile.

A diesel car doing 55mpg would be the same price per mile as "electric only" miles.

Caveat: I could be missing something as I'm tired after a long day at work :dk:

In case anyone's interested, I plugged my OBD2 thingy into my car tonight and got these error codes:

No idea what that means, or if it's serious, or whether I should stop driving the car (I need to drive to Devon on Weds so don't have time to sort out going to the dealer). I may be needing Mercedes Roadside Assistance! (which I've had very good experience with in the past btw).

Thanks for that ... I'm making use of my economy 7 (6.18 p/kWh) and the timed charging via Mercedes Me. So should be approx 37p per charge.

For info my supplier is First Utility

At least you can get a set of spanners out to fix this one! I haven't been told what the exact fault is yet. One day it was running fine and then the next, while sitting on my driveway it failed! My suggestion is to try and do as many miles and charging cycles as possible in the first 30 days to make sure any faults are raised early.

So. I made it back to work on battery only. But only just. Full charge said 18 miles. I've made 6 miles with 1 left on battery!
