They lock into the cars charge port when the vehicle is locked...What mechanisms (if any) are in place to stop the theft of these charge cables?
For the record. It seems some chargers don't need a specific card. Ie. The pod charger at sainsburys Rustington starts and works when my ecotricity card was swiped. And twas free. Others probably less lovely

I have been trying the Hold feature since this post. Using it all the time now when stopped in queues. Nice featureI've been driving the new C class for a year or so and only recently found that the whilst in stop/start traffic I would spend a lot of time with my foot on the brake. By applying a firm press on the brake pedal the word "hold" appears and the brake automatically applies. A tap on the accelerator and you are off again. Great for hill starts too.

I think the trick is, once completely stopped to depress the brake a little harder but quickly as wellWhen you have stopped, keep your foot on the brake and press harder. The word 'hold' will appear at the bottom of the screen behind the wheel, very handy.
