C350e owners club

Well this graphic says yes but sadly I won't get to find out as I'm about to head off on a round trip to Newbury. Should hopefully break my previous record of 711 off a single tank but for now, to have achieved almost 500 miles off 41% of a tank is pretty awesome I think :thumb:

I admire your patience - almost 500 miles at an average speed of 18 mph

I ended up emailing customer services and they've got back to me - this only works with COMAND :-( so us Garmin peasants will have to suffer without this feature.

The feature as in route based energy management, or the feature as in displaying the green glow under the car indicating it is using route based energy management?

Because the guide doesn't specifically mention having to have COMAND for the car to use route based energy management.

A new record has been set

When the final fuel bar disappeared just before joking the m6 toll northbound, I did start to worry - but a new personal record of 765 miles on a single tank has been set. This compromised 50% of a tank on local journeys charging at home / gym at least once a day and then 50% of a tank on 70mphish motorway round trip (just under 300miles before refuelling) with NO ability to charge enroute or before return leg.

765

at this point, the app said 3% fuel remaining

COMAND is required for route based energy management, hence you will not get the green shadow. That is what I've been told but like you, find this misleading as I haven't seen it specified yet that COMAND is required for this.

Impressive figures and shows if you charge it and do small runs to can get the mileage from it @ 78mpg.

Just thought i would do some sums.....

765 Miles minus 488 with the engine off = 277 petrol miles.

50 Litre fuel tank.... so lets say 5 litres left = 45 Litres used
277 miles using 45 litres of fuel is 27.98mpg when the engine is on burning fuel

765 Miles using 45 Litres of fuel is 77.2mpg so pretty fair estimate.

How many KW of electric have you used over these 765 miles to enable to work out the real MPG ?

Yeah actual pence per mile is a far more representative measure. I'm tracking my miles and best I've got yet is 10.6ppm.

I think actual petrol consumption is about right. I did some queuing traffic at 9% battery (so no electric motion) and got 18MPG!
This car really excels at that kind of traffic, even if you only have 15%, you can just queue slowly with no petrol used

Yes 10p per mile is what I am getting.

Thanks. Remember though, it only takes one of two big traffic jams during that time to drag down the average speed for the period. I've been stuck in several over the past 2 weeks.

I've not really been tracking it as most of the energy used from charging is free of £charge from the GMEV scheme. I top those charges up at home (usually need 20-25% to get back to full) so you could say I am contributing 1.5 to 2kWh per day....

While you chaps try to work out the maths, I'm concentrating on my comfort. I think I've just about got on top of all the functionality in the car including voice control of the satnav (Audio 20). However, has anyone managed to get music onto the Garmin SD card that the Audio20 Garmin Map Pilot maps sit on? There's about 13GBs spare memory on there so I thought I would fill it up instead of stealing back one of the USB slots from my children. I put a folder on the card called "Music" and copied a chunk of iTunes content into it but the Media screen says something like "no memory card inserted" when I select it. The card file format and music file formats are all supported according to the manual so I can't see why it shouldn't work. Anyone cracked this?

Is this a lease car? Would like to do the same but not sure how the lease company would react.

No it is not leased. Payed quite a bit extra for them, but think they look good in contrast to the white..

On my old E class when making MP3 CDs I had to put the files directly onto the disc as it didn't like folders so maybe give this a go?

Lovely black c350e saloon spotted in Horley on Friday and again Saturday.

Anyone on here ?

Picked this up on twitter at the weekend. Will be getting back in touch with my local garage as when I asked them about any updated software to fix the outside temperature display, they knew nothing about it...

I have added to that tweet as my dealer didn't know about it.

If it only takes a short time, I will take it in specifically for that as it is starting to get hot, and I don't think my car will be serviced before the summer (or xmas!!)

Went out for coffee in Aldenham (herts) on Sunday morning. A guy turned up in exactly the same brilliant blue saloon (premium)

He had the cheek to have a go at me about my parking (but if it would have been better he would have parked next to me).

He acknowledged suffering with poor range
