I wonder if the other forum guy used the supplied gaskets that come with the headers they are very different from the standard ones they may cause the warping

I would use the mb ones that is if they can be used and the bore in the exhaust is not restricted
 
I've used the gaskets that came with the headers as the new headers flanges are different ill get some pics and explain
 
I have had a look at them and they are perfectly good for what I paid for them. They need a little finishing on the inside but I'm very pleased with them.

Hey,Did you sell the C43 with 80k miles? Making a trip to UK later this month wanting to take home a 43 if possible.

Hi,
I was discussing with Olly today whether to use the supplied gaskets or OEM, and as you he favoured the supplied ones as they are considerably thicker.
How is the car going? Managed to stretched its legs yet?

Car is going fine I have not stretched its legs to far not had a chance but it's an animal so different from old engine it warms up quicker in the mornings is I get heating quicker I love is sounds different to and ticks over with more purpose
 
Mine does though it never overheated just warmed up quicker.
 
It goes into ollies next week to have the manifolds fitted I,ll ask about it then, did yours have noticeable play in the steering then? or was just a case of its easy to get to now so I,ll do it?

hey,Did take out the pistons on the 55? would have been interesting to see the wear on the skirts at that many miles. I would imagine the bores still look near new though!.
 
ive been driving the car for a couple of weeks now and if anythink ive found out just how good the brakes are
