c43 to c55 AMG conversion

Hi All i am new to the forum but i have been reading this for the last two weeks and decided to do the same so i have shipped my C43 and my engine off to Olly and Jack at Prestige Car Services also my stainless headers and decat pipe looking forward to it now.:rock:

Well i have just had the phone call from olly telling me its all done i can't wait to test it out on the way home. He also said it is very nice sounding with the decat pipe and uprated headers

I hope your pleased with it. The work involved in the transplant is labour intensive.

now you can do this conversion in your sleep right? :D

do you testdrive all vehicles after this conversion?
have you noticed any difference between all the 55 engines you have installed in each C43?
they were all healthy and responded rapidly flooring the gaspedal?

when you do the mod decating and removing center tube.
replacing with a straight line pipe in the middle of exhaust, I guess it will give more freeflowing w/o factory centre silencer?
am I correct?
what about back pressure w/o factory centre tube - loss of torqe - maybe heavier on gas mileage - how many decibels louder than stock?
would MOT guys bit-h about these cars getting louder or if you play on the streets in the city and getting pulled over by five-O and they bit-h about your car is loud and they'll issue a fine for disturbing the peace


all european c43's only have 2 front cats, what else is being removed from the car when decating it?
It's the centre long chorizo tube and what else?

If this is a good mod removing centre tube might do this also??

All cars are tested before handover. We do find there is a difference between engines. High miler engine are faster!!

All have performed very well.

The de cat pipe is about 30kg lighter than the stock system. We have seen performance improvements with it. It seems to smooth out the torque curve.

They are 93db. I dont know what the stock figure is. It's not loud at all. It's a great noise. No issues with mot or police at all.

They have 4 cats. We remove two.
 
How are them manifolds going mate, any problems ??

If not i am going to order some :D
