C63 507 Model Register

I’d wait for a mint 507 to come along if I was you. I waited about 9 months to find the right car, I left my phone number with a lot of motor dealers and came up trumps when Gary at mclaren Solihull gave me a call to say a mint 507 estate was coming in part exchange if I was still interested in purchasing one.
Only issue is that I'm led to believe that there's 20 odd 507 estates in UK. I need an estate and don't really want to have to buy a stop gap. Couple that with a real mint low mile 507 being more than I'd like to spend, I may end up waiting even longer than 9 months!

Yeah I can see what you are saying. I’d see if anyone on this forum Is selling a 507 estate and see if one is in price range.

Well there is one in the For Sale forum that's potentially in budget, though I can't contact the seller until I get quite a few more posts annoyingly!

That is annoying, cause nice examples at realistic prices don’t hang around long. Maybe someone on this forum could contact the seller for you?

That would be great if someone could, I imagine I'd get in trouble for asking someone to directly though, currently I'm just 'liking' his posts trying to get his attention :dk:.

Well, Good luck with your search, I’m sure you’ll find your dream car.

I have messaged the owner of the C63 507 estate that is in the For Sale ads on your behalf.
Hopefully he'll see it and respond in this thread. Hasn't been online here since 9th Apr though.

Hi Hoppum technically my estate is still for sale. But since the lock down started I haven't been pursuing it. But if you are interested I'm more than happy to provide you the full details and photos.

Thank you!

Very interested! What's the best way to get in touch, as I'm sure neither of us want to post our phone numbers or email addresses publicly on here and I can't PM directly yet, unless you can still message me, though if you've sent one already I'm unable to see it? Do you use Facebook/Instagram at all? I could add you on one of those and then direct message you some proper contact details?

To late to edit my previous message, but I've made a temporary email address [email protected] if you'd like to send me some proper contact details privately.

What are folk using on the leather in their W204 C63 to keep the leather in good condition and maintain the slightly matt OEM finish 🤔. I’m nearly to the bottom of the Zymol which came in a bundle when I bought a Zymol kit for a Morgan I had over 12 years ago so it’s lasted a decent amount of time 👍

Has anyone had any success in removing or changing the chrome exhaust tips on their C63 🤔. Having spent the odd hour under the back of mine the tips appear to be tack welded to the exhaust so would need some work to remove but I’m not sure if they are fixed at any other points. Unless the tips are meticulously maintained from new the inevitable pitting sets in.

I use sglp leather preserver which is part of the stargard paint and interior protection package for Mercedes-benz for professional car valeters

Andy, I have seen a few threads where folks state the tips are welded to the back section of the exhaust and cannot be replaced on their own. I stand to be corrected if someone has done this and would like to know if it is possible as well, regardless of effort as I have a lot of time available currently :)

I have tried using a Dremel and various polishing bits I have but the actual lips that are rolled were pitted when I got the car and without grinding these down I can't get a perfect finish on them. I did clean and polish the exhaust boxes last time though for something to waste an hour

Yex. I think once the tips are pitted there is no way to remove the damage without replacing them. I’m not sure if they could be successfully rechromed even if you could get them off. Would love to hear from anyone who has managed to replace or refurbish the exhaust tips.

Perhaps you should do a parts check guys. If the tips are listed as a separate part they must com off.

Andy it looks like they are not a separate part according to the parts list for my C63 coupe
