C63 507 Model Register

Not me! I've found another set of diamond cut instead, roll on Saturday.

Congratulations on that find 👍. I’ve been looking for a second hand set of Himalaya Grey diamond cut for a while , where did you find those, I’ve not seen any on FleaBay 🤔

I'll tell you once they're in my possession ;)

The seller specifically didn't list them on eBay as they didn't want stupid buyers though.

‘Must be a saloon‘ eh.

Shame, if anyone is interested in an IMMACULATE, 1 PO, low mileage, white estate, contact me.
Hi there, have been flirting with the idea of a C63 507 Estate for a while....keep my eye on the classifieds, but thought I would check the forums. If your car is still for sale would be good to discuss...

Some interesting stats there.

I can't seem to PM you but I have a fire opal 507 estate with privacy glass, Harmon Kardon sound, LSD and reversing camera.
Hi there, appreciate this is a long shot, but if you still have your 507 Estate I would be interested if you are potentially thinking of selling! Thanks, Nick

Hey guys,, Back onto the wheel refurb.

My Old wheels have been at a diamond cut refurb co' near me for some time, but now just re opened, do I had a meeting with them today... as we all know, refurbing the OEM lip not going to work due to the milling process, so we have 2 options.

Option 1. Acid dip the wheel to remove all paint, then paint the wheel black, then they can fineline out the rim section and paint that in a very bright silver, then finish off with a clearcoat to get the effect of the OEM wheel. But depending on how good they are with the fineline tape and masking could effect the finish.

Option 2
Acid dip the wheel, back to meatal then clearcoat so we have a full metal finish on the entire wheel

Option 3
Acid dip the wheel, mask out the inverted lip and amg log so it remains metal finish, then paint the rest of the wheel silver to give the effect of the Hymilaya Grey and clearcoat over the entire wheel.

All of these options are going to cost me around £500.00 so I would really appreciate some feedback on the best way to go. once finished I will be selling them for around £2000.00. So i really need it to get it right, just not sure what way to go.

On another Note..

Thanks for the photo , looks good against the new green 👍. I wasn’t aware that a gloss black diffuser was a factory option, but i learn something new every day 🤔 👍. I know there are two different plastics used by MB for the diffuser. My original C63 was a white smooth base plastic painted with “crinkle“ finish black paint To give it a matt texture , it had started to flake off where it meets the bumper. My 507 has a different type of plastic which is black all the way through with a textured finish moulded into it .

If you’re looking for the OEM finish Option 1 sounds the best way of going about it. I’d considered that option for mine when the time comes (hopefully I’m a way off needing it) of getting a wheel specialist to get the alloys to all satin black then get a local guy who does high quality custom painting of bike frames to fill in the silver lip, then get them clear coated.

Pretty much confirmed my thoughts too but thought I'd check, I'll put some pics up of them when done.

Cheers guys

Ah I've seen that most have the textured finish too, mine is completely smooth with no texture, its black on both sides buddy.... I'm now wondering if I've misread the options list

I've now picked up the wheels so as promised this is where I found them. It's a private Facebook group called: C63 AMG UK - Classified- Cars- Parts- For Sale

They're not perfect but they are in very good condition and I'm a happy bunny.
