C63 507 Model Register

Nice looking car that one, the previous dealer was on my radar until the grey one popped up as he seemed to have a few nice ones going through his stock.

Linz, my car was pot luck. I was looking and checking for new searches to find a car and it popped up. It was a 30 minute drive from my house and I had planned to see it on a Saturday but was at home on the Friday so drove over then as early as they opened. I saw the car, drove the car and paid a decent deposit for it. The dealer (Kent Motor Cars) was great to deal with and had 3 others guys look at it over the weekend (no test drives allowed after deposit paid thankfully) who wanted the car so I would have lost it if I had waited until the weekend.

I'm sure a good one will come along soon enough so just keep looking :)

God I wish I was in a better position to upgrade, although 41k does seem a little steep to me - great car though:rock:

And they're on my doorstep!! :doh:

I'd love a 507 estate but to be honest mine is close enough that I don't feel like I'm missing out and it actually looks similar to that one for sale.

My costs:

£27,000 - C63 with 40,000 miles 2013 in diamond white with red leather bought in Dec 17
£395 - Celtic Tuning remap to give 507 power
£1,400 - WaveTrac ATB differential (not all 507s have an LSD anyway)
£25 - 507 stickers
£28,820 - Total

If I wanted the wheels, which I nearly did, then they can be had for £3,500 in good condition. I decided to go with 19" wheels from a C63 205 as they are 0.5" wider so better for 245/265 tyres. The brakes I don't have the performance version but I don't get fade on the road and they're the same size in terms of stopping power. SLS internals would be nice so it would be better to start from a PP car. Bonnet vents - not fussed either way.

The previous owner had already added a genuine 507 steering wheel and gear gaiter in alcantara.

Therefore, man maths saving of about £12,000 if you allow a bit for the lower mileage.

Just looking for some opinions and thoughts..
Car was Mot’d in August 2017 at 10k miles’ish
It was serviced in March at Mercedes at 13k miles. So the owner has done almost 3k miles in this time frame (around 7 months). Which indicates winter usage...

So from March 18 when it was serviced to now he’s only done 800 miles?? So my concern is it could very well be clocked. Hence the reason it’s priced so cheap and just looking for a quick sale. As everyone who I have spoke to who know the 507’s have all said that’s very cheap for the mileage etc..

So just after some opinions really. Can these W204 clocks be tampered with easily? What’s yours thoughts guys?

This car was for sale back in May with 13,500 miles @£39,495. Don't know if it sold it or just passed on to Berkshire Vehicle Solutions. It may well be that no-one has owned it for some time, hence the low mileage in recent months.

Are you sure it was this particular one? As GKirby have sold a few Black with similar miles over the course of a year.

Berkshire is saying he’s selling on behalf of a good friend. “Who has asked to sell for him”

Not sure...

Interesting... appears to have been for sale a few times

Unfortunately the v5 will only show previous owner and how many keepers etc.. but nothing to suggest mileage.
Guess the other way is to get it booked into Mercedes to carry out a full VHC and plug there computer in to determine any mileage discrepancies.

Very strange. Saw that the other day. But 50k!! Blimey he must be living on a different planet. Modded to the absolute last breath.
Not my taste unfortunately....
 
You’d certainly need deep pockets to buy that one ........ and put the original rear spoiler and diffuser back on. Not a fan of the ducktail spoilers or deep fin rear diffusers either.

I think he’s living on some fantasy land. Absolutely ruined a beautiful car!

I’ll take my chances and wait unfortunately for the right one, and not modded to the absolute nuts.

Will see how long before someone pulls out 50k for him .... :)
 
I'm a bit new around here still but looked for a 507 for quite a while and in my opinion that one is shit ugly :eek:
