C63 507 Model Register

Maybe his dream but he's now personalised a car to his own taste and expecting a huge price. He's only owned it for 21 months.

Who's doing that for you? Birds, MSL or someone else?
I paid a deposit to get one at MSL last Christmas and still haven't had it fitted [emoji849]

I'm having it done by GAD Tuning in Burnham-on-Crouch, they are local enough to me to make life easier and have experience fitting them before.

Quite looking forward to the drive home :)

A quick question which wheels are 19inch 5 spoke multi design wheels? I presume these are the standard wheels on the 507? Are these similar design to to the 18inch wheels on the standard c63?

Rocky

They are these ones. Code 785. They were standard on the 507. Titanium grey with diamond cut face.

Phil what are they like to refurb?

These are really straightforward to refurb as it’s a simple diamond cut face.

The black ones ....... that’s a different story [emoji30]

Your calipers are far too clean.............tell me how ;)

Those aren't my calipers but mine are as clean [see photo below]. When I got the car I removed the wheels, took the brake pads out and gave the calipers a good clean with soapy water and a detailing brush. I did touch up a couple of chips with some red paint and High Temperature lacquer. Now I just get my hand in there with the wash mitt when I clean the car. Also painted the centres of the discs with satin black brake caliper paint and baked the paint in the oven :D

Only done the rears so far. Still need to find time to do the fronts.

Phil

Looks like a really well looked after, 1 owner car with extremely low mileage. Registered 04/03/2014

Options:
19" Black wheels
Interior Carbon
Limited Slip Diff
Reversing Camera
Interior Lighting Pack

A couple of things to check on the service history:
Gearbox oil and filter should have been done when the car was 3 years old
Spark plugs should have been replaced when the car was 4 years old

Other than that its just the usual annual oil/filter and bi-annual brake fluid plus air filter every 3 years.

Thanks for the info

Probably this is more of a “dream spec” than caked with aftermarket goodies.
Would have been nice if it had the factory privacy glass. But I guess a good tint installer could take care of that...

Wish me luck

Absolutely. You can get the tints retrofitted as many have done on the saloon cars (Privacy glass wasn't an option on the saloon). I've also done this on our E350 Estate. They can't get the rear screen looking quite as perfect as factory due to the wires but it is hardly noticeable.

Let me know how you get on and hope it's worth the trip down South.

Thanks for that Phil

Hopefully heading down tomorrow, so all being well it could be all good. Can’t imagine it being an issue as it’s a middle aged mature owner. So definitely hasn’t been modded or abused. Looks to be a good example especially with the rare factory LSD

Deposit placed, really nice example. Beautiful car and most importantly the Spec.
Hope to collect at some point in the week fingers crossed
Thanks all

Well done Lizn, little bit of patience and you have been very well rewarded :thumb:

I can seriously recommend the LSD as an option and am glad your car has one. I had a Quaife fitted last Friday and the difference out of corners, roundabouts and on slightly slippery surfaces is night and day. I'll write up something more in-depth once I've got used to the new addition but my small enjoyment of the LSD over the weekend was rather eye opening and the ability of the car to put the power down now is markedly different.

@Yex I would be interested in your review of the Quaife. I've put a deposit on a 507 which does not have the factory fitted LSD.
