C63 507 Model Register

This is my one.

Very similar! It’s a beauty. This is why I was so interested in yours a while ago Rocky - thanks for the pics at that time too. I wonder how many black exterior with black interior 507 saloons there are in the UK? I missed the Romans car by a few days. Got to be quick in this game.

I've got 7 on my list and one black saloon with the cream/black interior.

Do you know when that Roman's one was up for sale? I wonder how much it went for.

I would have bought one if it was a saloon or estate. It's a standout colour for me.

I love red cars , having owned several. Unfortunately I find red shows up stone chips but the Fire Opal paint issue was the deal breaker for me on a C63.

Although it doesn’t mention it I believe the one with 14,500 miles also has the Performance Suspension, which may put some folk off.
I've only got one Red coupe on the list with performance suspension and that's still with the original owner. Unless I've missed it then none of the ones sold in the last couple of years have it...... and they've all got black wheels too [emoji6]

Do you have all the saloons in the register? Do we have any written off or exported yet?
I've got 27 saloons on the list so probably still missing half a dozen.
None written off but 1 exported and a white one, which was sold in May 2015, is SORN and has never had an MOT.

Do you have this one? The guy was at the Gaydon meeting a few weeks back. Wheels were Himalaya Grey and it’s got black and white leather.

Am getting my black 19” 507 rims fitted tomorrow chaps. Went for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres in the end as they were recommended by folk on here and seemed to get great reviews on t’internet.

Black wheels do suit the red coupe, not sure about white though ;)

PS That car was written off whilst being transported across Australia, some may say “not a sad loss”

Did you go for genuine in the end? If replicas it would be great to get some close up pictures and a bit of a review.

Ive been debating trying to get hold of a second set for winters but as I wont really use the car in the winter period it seems a bit daft....

I bought the refurbished genuine ones that were on eBay. They look great, but obviously don’t have the machine finish lip and logo.

If I hadn’t found these, I’d have gone for reproduction rims. I would be frightened to death of curbing the bloody things if I’d spent £3k+ on new genuine ones!

I think you’re right about highlighting the disc, hub and caliper Lee. I also think I’m gonna have to do a bit of detailing in that area when I change the wheels on mine.

Your blacking out plan sounds good to me!

Took the plunge on Blacking out the Chrome boot trim and front grill. The car goes into the body shop, for what was just supposed to be the sides and rear bumper before the new decals go on in 3 weeks time,,,, But me being me,, its now having a full paintjob as I don't want any colour difference on the bonnet or door shuts etc, so while its in, they are going to do the chrome parts for me too.
AAAARGGHH!!!!! Excited to say the least!

Only thing to contemplate on now is do I Change the C63 and AMG badge to gloss black so it only leaves chrome emblems.

Did you pay Mercedes for the decals or get copies?

Its Mactac Macal 9800 Pro vinyl but not sure what colour.

I bought originals from Mercedes, £704.00!!!!
yes that's correct, it is mactac 9800 pro. Thankfully, my sign writers also deal with mactac, so they are re drawing these and can reproduce them excatly for me or any club member that needs them.
