C63 Owners do you get problems?

I'm trying to help you.

You started a post asking if you are the only one who experiences such issues and it does seem that you are in the minority so I am helping you explore some avenues which may lead you to the true reasons behind the difficulty that you experience.

Apologies if you are but it does seem like you pick holes in my posts.

Park elsewhere. I park my car up the road in a locked driveway from my work to avoid door to door parking and to avoid people knowing I have a C63. Seems a bit much but small price to pay for peace of mind...

Also if some guy spits on your car and stubs a cig out on it he should be picking up teeth. Not trying to sound hard but that's on another level

He was a muppet that was behind the office where there is a row of houses. All he needed to do was ask me not to park outside his house (which was rare anyway). Apparently my car disturbed him as it had a ridiculous exhaust (Standard)

If I saw someone spit on my car and put a ciggy out on it, they'd have a ****ing cricket bat round the back of there head.

Yes, sad for his family and loved ones.

Unless you are armed yourself, you don't stand a lot of chance against mindless violence and actions like this.

Even a chiropractor I go to is a very strong chap and expert in martial arts - but he just says any trouble - "just walk away, it's not worth it". I've no doubt he can kick 4rse!

OK he, like anyone of us probably, would defend himself / family or friends but I think if you go looking for trouble - sometimes it might not work out well.

I know that sounds weak to some on here who would do something regardless but I personally consider the cost of doing anything - and I am not far off the size of that boxer!

Sorry to hear of the trouble you having been having, can't imagine what it would have been like to watch someone spit & put a cigarette out on the windscreen!

I would have to agree, it is always better to not get involved, i've done martial arts and boxing for most of my life also, however i think that might have been my limit well and truly blown seeing that! You defo did the right thing i must say though. I've been pretty lucky in the past with confrontation in couple of different ways, things can spiral pretty quickly.

I concur with most members feelings, try to be strong, don't let idiots dictate your choices with the car you own. As also mentioned people don't always guess correctly on the value of a car.

We live next door to a Dentists, and have a constant run of customer cars parking outside the house. Would i prefer they didn't park outside, yes. However it is just a standard road parking scenario, no permits etc, they are entitled to do it. What kind of mind goes out and spits on someone's car? Only time i have gone into Dentists was when someone half covered my drive.

I feel for you Stuart, this whole thing is a disgrace . I suppose I am fortunate, as where I live, my C63 is one of the lesser cars on the block ! I have footballers/ businessmen in my town driving Lambo`s/ Rarri`s/ Astons etc......It`s a feckin joke !
On the flip side, do you ever have that little smug chuckle to yourself, when you overtake a C180 on the motorway ? I know you shouldn`t .........

Lol I admire the fact that the buyer of a C180 AMG sport probably wants the C63 but isn't allowed one lol.

I was once that person and thought my C180 Kompressor Sport Edition was the bees knees. :D

Be successful, live your life, enjoy your car and don't let the buggers get you down! :thumb:

I am not in your league but I have driven several Boxster's and a 964 Targa and have had all the usual tailgating, being cut up, blocked in, undertaken etc, etc.

Interestingly I had more instances of this in my CLK55 (with quad conversion) than any of those and I only had the car for a year! Could be the sound of the exhaust or how clean it was I don't know.

CLK55 is a beauty! I remember having to settle for the 350 cabriolet Sport with the AMG kit because I couldn't afford the CLK63

Ha ha Stuart ! My first two Mercs were C class diesels . Althought gotta say my C320 was a missile !!
Only returning to petrol engines about two years ago with a TTRS Plus . That was a lot of fun !!

TTRS is a VERY underrated car and have to say would likely annihilate most cars on the road with a light tune. Grip is immense!

And look at you now :thumb:

I bought my CLK350 sport before the CLK55 and then thought life is too short! It's only petrol and 55's are very reasonably priced!

Onwards and upwards

Lol I wish I never bought my e46 m3 all that time ago as I was more than happy with the performance of the 350. It's a slippery slope and has wasted so much cash. :wallbash:

I had one of these try and pull away from me on a dual carriageway not long ago - couldn't manage it.

Then pulled over to let me past to show me how easily he could keep up with my car with his female companion in the passenger seat.

Under-estimated that old "E200K with stuck-on AMG exhausts" didn't you.

:D

It did alright actually to be fair but the difference was substantial.

I guess he was used to dispatching most stuff as you say.
