sorry to break the joy but it wont fit your W202 as yours has the sport steering wheel with the sport airbag unfortunatly

I may be wrong though as i aint 100% shure

yea unfortunatly my shuck was rite there aint no way the ebay airbag will fit that one, im shure you can see a difference in shape also

I saw one side available but not the other? Thought maybe I could just spray them darker like I did on the old merc, came up ok.....

You should do what I did for mine.Buy an elegance steering wheel to fit No one will notice, they will all be commenting on how good the air bag looks.

That is an idea but if the wheel was to be replaced why not just get the Sport model 99+ facelift steering wheel like Koolvin did looks miles better. I personally think the current sport steering wheel looks better than the Elegance style one but if only they made it with a chrome centre star, well thats my view on it

Yes they do come in black as well.

All down to money for me at the time,I bought the wheel off ebay for £40 Black leather from a 1998-99 c280 elegance.Got it home and (rookie mistake by me thought my sport air bag would fit)So then bit the bullet and bought the updated air bag to go with it.

Aren't they all supposed to be the chrome star version now after the big airbag recall of a few years back?

I have exactly the same stlye steering wheel on my 124, they were initially fitted to sportline versions of W124.

Looked much better than the original one I had.
