Decisions decisions.....what new car?

"So thats the new 3 series, and the X6....whats the model in between....??? "

That'll be the 5 series then!

If that is available for a test drive I'll be all over it :D

So the decision gets harder.......BMW dealer No.2 have come in with a (quite frankly) unbelievable deal. :dk:

So hard to justify the MB now

Have you considered the Audi A6 3.0 turbo ?

mods feel free to remove that pic ^^ :D

Can we just remove the stupid rims and even sillier tyres ?

I have.....but at 204bhp for a lower power 3.0TDi ....it's pathetic....if you want the more powerful versions they only come in Quattro format with a huge MPG penalty  I think Audi are paying for going with the 'Front Wheel drive is best' policy.

Better than the lease deals?
BMW 3 Series 4Dr 330d M-Sport Auto Contract Hire

Really tempted with the Touring if I can get a deal like that.

It is hard to tell as the lease site you listed is without options, but I would say I have been offered a similar deal.....and would prefer to buy from a BMW dealer. BMW have a 3.9APR campaign on which helps ;) (Diesel only)

I agree. I also considered that engine option in an A5 as it is pretty tax efficient being low emissions, but the FWD doesn't cope too well with even that level of power, and worse still its only available with the CVT auto, not the proper one

330d is a great engine and the F30 drives very well if you can live with the styling......

@RichardM - the Touring is only being launched next month so make sure you are not being quoted for an old E91 model.

F30 looks good, and is a brand new platform, unlike C class which is nearing the end of its life.

A mate of mine has an E Coupe and for me it is too small. Bloody cheek calling it an E imho !

If you can bare the shame then the BM will almost certainly be the better car - more room inside too.

Really good posts......and it is what I love about this site..

...it is a Mercedes site, but not ruled by idiotic 'Fanboys' that would be slagging off the option B.

Thank you for your balanced views :thumb:

In your other postings, you seem like a decent chap so that alone will probably rule out you buying the BMW.

The best internet BMW put-down. Ever!

Nisfan: Autocar had a 320D on long term test recently. They loved it. Might be worth looking at what they wrote about it before deciding on a 330 or E-Class.

Aaaah went to see the M Sport today, it is a 320D auto, Estoril Blue. Sat in it for a little while making Brmmmm Brrrmmm sounds :)

No where near as exclusive as the E coupe inside, but still a nice place to be, very functional in comparison. I was able to get a very comfy seating position, and love the little M Sport steering wheel.

One thing that stands out......it looks 100 times better in the flesh, all the extra curves on the M Sport kit really stand out, which is not so noticeable in the pics.

I guess you all know where this is heading :) .......end of October delivery date.

Anyone want a 2010 C220CDI Saloon? One good owner, never raced or rallied :)

Nisfan,

I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to hand in your membership and close the door on the way out. Thanks.

My B-I-L has a 320d M Sport coupe and he loves it; you can see why they've sold so many.

Well done and I'll look forward to your comparisons when you collect it.

So come on then....whats the spec?

I agree about the M sport helping the styling, but I still can't get on with it.... :(

330D M Sport
8 Speed sport+ auto
19" Light Alloys
Estoril Blue
Dakota Leather - Black
Estoril Blue trim with hex aluminium
Professional Sat Nav with Black panel instruments
Adaptive Sport suspension
DAB reciever
Viz package - Xenon lights with high beam assist, blah blah
Comfort pack - Split folding rear seats, and other stuff
Heated front seats

Think that is about it....I don't even want to look at the options list anymore, the more I look the more I realise the pain Frodo Baggins was in......it just sucks you in :)

Actually I haven't officially ordered it, thought I would make the salesman sweat, but I think it has back fired.....I am the one sweating :D

I see you have the new Sport + C....I love the new look, especially the black/silver wheels. There was a black one at my local dealers, and it looks ace :thumb: ......Looked like Darth Vaders person ride

The deed is done :thumb:

I caved in to the pressure of more goodies

I now have in addition to the list before:

  1. Active Cruise control with stop start function (Lazy git) :bannana:
  2. Speed limit display (got to protect those points)
  3. Adaptive sports suspension
Great news is........I got these added for free .....well a squeezed overall deal :)

Just waiting to hear when it will be delivered....Early November from initial forecast.

UPDATE:

Still no build date.......but been confirmed that the car WILL come with Rear and Front park distance control. :) The price list contradicts this :dk:

I will also be one of the first to get the new version of iDrive in an F30....WooHoooo!:bannana: ......I think.....not sure what old iDrive did......but apparently I get higher resolution graphics and upgrades for processor and memory plus new software. Got to be good ...right? :)

From the video clip I saw the Sat Nav looks amazing, actually has like google earth rendering. A CGI world, instead of a blue line on a green background.

Can't wait now
