E350 Coupe Sport Build Date

It is now almost a month since placing my order and I have heard nothing from the dealer since then.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get an estimated build date after placing an order? It will be a 2012 model and so definitely will not be before June.

Do you have an order number? The factory could give you the info direct.

You should have a timeframe for your delivery at the time of order.

Talking to your dealer is a good idea......

I got mine about 3 or 4 days after I placed the order.

10th June for me.

For my cab I got my build date several months after I placed the order as they didn;t have a slot so had to wait for the next available one.

I have chased the dealer and although there is a production slot in July, apparently Mercedes have problems with parts shortages and so cannot confirm the specification.

I'll just have to wait for the time being. I assume that this applies to all E Coupe orders at present.

The earthquake in Japan has badly affected the availability of all sorts of materials and components all through the supply chain. My dealer told me last week that they are receiving emails almost daily listing a new range of options and paint colours that are unavailable on diffferent models.

I phones my dealer today and he came back just now and said 10th June is still correct for me.

On an E Class saloon I've had to change my colour (Tenorite Grey not available) but seem to have kept a 7th June build slot.
