Fresh from TLC at Topaz Detailing

I wasn't in a hurry so didn't press them but I would think it will be a minimum of 3 days. They can speed things up by using heaters to accelerate the curing process for each layer of wax but I didn't want to rush it. Discuss it with them beforehand. Great xmas present. You'll be impressed by the cars in their workshops!

Thanks. Now please post some photos of the 911s!

Did you say you had the entire car wet sanded in 3 days? As in 3000 refinement or 1500 orange peel removal?

EDIT:Sorry just saw you had said 6 days, my apologies:)

Actually the car was never or hardly wet sanded (as far as I know). Their Level 2 only includes correction of minor blemishes but when they showed me the stuff they had to leave uncorrected, it was sooooooo minor that I didn't have a problem. I would probably have put them all back after my first wash :dk: There is orange peel when you look for it but the standard of paintwork on my car is actually pretty good. Their orange peel removal is to another level altogether and takes over 100hrs (with costs to match!). They're doing a brand new 458 Spider at the moment and every reflected line is dead straight like the best quality mirrors! It was there when my car started and was still there today when I walked past.

Schweet! Sorry I thought you said it had, had wet sanding as part of the treatment. But I miss read your starter post the first time. Car looks great and love there work!

Postcode helps having consistent hyper & supercars coming in;)

Hey Greg, we met at Topaz when you were dropping off your BS, result is simply spectacular on your car...but I had no doubts it would have been so, knowing their crazy standards!

Congrats again on the wonderful car you have and if you ever decide to sell the 993 RS, let me know! ;)

These guys specialise in wet sanding.

Yes they do but, apart from the cost, I decided that living in central London means I don't have a driveway so washing the car is usually a case of using 2 buckets and a sponge so the perfection of wet sanding would be lost after a few washes regardless of how careful I try to be. I will use the car, track it a few times each year and then have another think about it.....

Max, of course I remember you. After all, there aren't many people around with Brabus G K8s, even in London :) It's great to see you here. Sorry the RS is not for sale but since I've been asked to post a pic, here's one. It's due for some TLC at Topaz in the Spring......

Sorry the quality of that photo was pretty rubbish. Here's another straight after it was detailed by Paul Dalton (Miracle Detail) at a friend's house.
