Glasgow 3rd August Curry Evening (Scotland)

Aye Derek thats the one mate, you could take the low level train from Queen ST to Charing Cross, easier than walking...

I can get the train back home and leave the car overnight at work.

The best way back to Dunfermline from Glasgow is the number 55 bus as there is no direct train, however I will definately be driving so can give you a lift no problem.

If you want somewhere safe to park, I will be staying at a hotel close to the restaurant (not sure which one yet as they pretty full, so our travel agent on with it) so if you want to park wherever I stay and go from there, will let you know later which hotel.

Thanks Jim that would be superb.... a late night bus from Glasgow to Dunfermline sounds rather grim.

If i get the train directly after work it says i will get there around 18:50, so i should have time to walk to the restaurant.... google maps say its only a few streets away.

if there was a reason why 7pm was better than 7:30 (someone mentioned pre-theatre?) i reckon 7pm would be ok for me if going by train.... seems to be one every 15 mins.

Derek

Phone me when your train arrives at Queen Street and I will pick you up at the George Square entrance.

PM me if you need my mobile number

Premier Inn Charing Cross is local as is the Novotel place which is just round the block. Both places perfectly ample for the task of an overnight stay.

Surely we can manage more than 4 of us? No one local fancy a great curry? Rawal Pindi is a cracking restaurant, a 500 mile round trip for me but worth it,

Jim (RaceDiagnostics) is also coming I think.

I'm surprised no one else is interested - sounds like its going to be a nice night.

Looking forward to it and to seeing you guys again. Is any one booking the restaurant? Bit difficult I suppose at the min but might be worth it on Monday as it used to be a busy place. It will be like coming home :D used to eat on Sauchiehall street loads when I lived & worked in Scotand.

I'll make the booking on Thursday/Friday - 5 so far .......

Still think pre-7pm is going to be pushing it so best to stick with 7-30 imo so we get a chance to meet up beforehand.

OK ?
