Probably will improve with some miles too.

My new E220 auto is returning 60+ on a run already.

Its nowhere near the book numbers in any case is it?

I got 62.3 today on the way home from Ascot to Southampton, dropped down to 57,9 by the time I got home to the Isle of Wight. C220 sport plus auto 5770 miles on the clock. Eddie

Amazing really for a big lumper.
The S+ box seems a good bit better - I heard its taller in top?
However the quoted figures suggest it's more frugal in urban, but less in Extra urban correct?

very similar to my SLK 250CDI

On long runs the combined mpg figure is very achievable. On my 25 mile commute to work it's a bit less.

Not a Merc but I get this regularly on a commute from Cornwall to Swansea doing 70-75 best I have seen is 64.5 MPG at a steady 70 with the cruise on.

Went for a wee sunday evening cruise in the countryside. Returning some figures on the mpg.. Pleased :)

Wasn't the most exciting drive, but didn't expect to get it out of a CLK55!

My E320 CDI, started showing 40mpg around town in 5 mile trip.

I get about 30 mpg around town and have got up to 45-50 mpg on a fairly long journey which I think is pretty good for a 2 ton lump:thumb:

Did just over 100 miles this afternoon and got 52.8mpg which im very pleased with

I got 46.2mpg yesterday on my 2005 C180k Kompressor on my journey from work to home which is a mix of A roads, M25 and small amount of town driving. I think the MPG is not bad for a 8 year old petrol car. A lot better than many other cars I've had.
