guess the insurance renewal quote

Just a bit of fun:

Wife's Audi A2 1.4TDi.

Last year's premium was £382.88 - 4 years protected NCD with Sheilas' Wheels

She had an accident last month costing the insurance company £2200.

Guess the renewal quote that arrived in the post today.

The renewal is £383.53 - sounds remarkably fair to me.

I'd always thought a protected NCD was not as protected as they've made me believe it was. As in, you keep your 65% discount, but the base insurance rises. But not so in this case.

My experience is that to have protected NCD you pay a slightly higher premium anyway, so in reality the price shouldn't change.
