Help needed - Oil Pressure & Pinking on new Cosworth engine

105'C is on the high side. I'm not familiar with the Cossie's but to me that is high.

The oil pressure will drop when the engine temp is that high, as the oil is getting thinner.

Thats what i thought...i was stuck in severe traffic...and it crept upto 100 or there abouts but then went back down to 80 when i got moving.

Im using fully synth because the engine has had a full rebuild. Perhaps i should use a thicker oil?

As far as the EZL switch goes, is it safe to mess around with this?

TBH I'm pondering on wether or not the car should go back to Crewe and they can rectify the problems. Prior to the rebuild my car never went that high temp wise and there was no pinking.

I've always found Crewe engines to be a really helpful lot. I've rung them for advice on a goof few occasions and they've always been really helpful.

I would give them a call and see what they say first.

Howard, how very odd. zakh has deleted ALL the posts in that thread just after you asked your question.

What could possibly be going on here?

How odd.... Am i missing something here
