honest opinions on this colour please

Well, it makes a statment....

well the replies made me laugh anyway. When i first saw it i didnt like it, then i started to like it the more i looked at it. I agree its abit camp, but that doesnt bother me. I wouldnt have paid top dollar for it being that color, but I know i could sell it and make on it, so ill live with it for now.

OK'ish in a Porsche boxster but needs a different colour of soft top . They do make some hideous leather interiors tho.

I had one for a whole 9 days  once driven never forgotten

ive never heard anything particularly bad about them. Did you buy a bad one? what didnt you like about it?

Nothing wrong with the drive - especially the 3.2. Wouldn't buy one though when 996s are so cheap.

Stats comment is bang on the money, the Boxster always reminds you of what it's not and it's not a 911

The one I had was a good car a 3.2 S I just hated it, the drive was uninvolving almost clinical no fun whatsoever and reliability well push it hard, and the suspension linkages appear to be made out of chocolate or something very similar, coil packs blow up at random, trim falls of like a 1980's Rover, water pours in through the door seals, get the car over 70 mph on a twisty road in damp conditions and you better pack some spare underpants, twitchy would be the understatement of the year.

If you think getting keys for an MB is expensive try replacing your Boxster Key

There are a lot better 2 seater sports cars out there for the money, if you want to have fun on twisty lanes, listen to the soundtrack of a mid engined sportscar and would like to have a big grin on your face everytime you drive it, this is not the car for you.

Two words that sum it up for me Clinical & Sterile

JMHO though :)

Colour not for me, but I'll be diplomatic and say 'each to their own' ;)

Some people must like it, after all - someone ordered it that way :)

I always thought the Boxsters had a reasonably good reputation for the drive, especially now they are so cheap. Obviously it's no 911, but it's probably not a bad buy for the cash.

Will

A from me i'm afraid... unless you bought it for your Mrs in which case D.

I wouldnt buy it.
About the best thing I could say is that its certainly different from the usual silver and black.
But car colour is very individual - a bit like music and food.
Each to their own.................

You may have to get used to saying 'It's the wifes':D

hmmm, i dont have a wife though and i think i prefer the option of changing my sexuality to getting married even though im 100% hetrosexual.
somethings occured to me, women like gay men right, if i look gay in this car then it will score me points with the ladies, i lul them into a false sense of security then go for the kill :rock:
im looking forward to this car opening a whole new world for me

I really hope you enjoy it, it will certainly be a talking point in that colour. I just hope we get a good summer so you can get some top down motoring, good luck and keep us posted :thumb:

Not my experience of the 987 at all.
