How quickly can Olly change 16 plugs ?

I did a set today on a CLK430. (not painted pink)

Not a bad time but I can do better.

I'd like to think so if it took you all day..

Show me a diesel or steam powered V8 CLK .... ;)

Howard if you get enough people betting maybe the winner will donate it to the CLK 430 spark plug fund :thumb:

23 mins.

I was sweating....

That was truly impressive...:thumb:..I did a V6 280 a couple of weeks ago and it took 3 hours and I gave up on one of the back ones !!!!

Wish I'd had that air wrench :):)

The air ratchet can be your worst enemy as it has to be used in a certain way. If you don't know how to use it it can be a hindrence.

It looks simple.

I have done a V6 in 25 before so I think I can do them in 18mins ish.

Woo, I was closest, where's my prize!

Although I'd have to ask that the prize be given to charity instead, since I was unable to make it on the day :-|

Hope you all had a wonderful time ;-)

It was interesting to watch a master at work - at times the air seemed to be on for a long time - I assume the speed of rotation is actually quite slow.

Yes they are quite slow, I think it's because they are geared down for strong torque etc.

It does make sense when there's so many plugs (16) to remove.
