In the market for a 6.2 e63 estate..... Not many out there?

^ That car has a very nice option list and I'd certainly take a look (test drive;)) just to compare how it feels compared to a 6.2n/a

I know I recommended the 5.5, but 6.2 owners love them too, so get a drive in both and make up your own mind. Don't be too swayed by owners here:D

Also don’t be too but off by comments about the 6.2 N/A engine being light on torque compared to the 5.5 biturbo engine. Having driven one, the thought of there being a lack of torque didn’t occur to me even once. Both are great engines, you wouldn’t be disappointed with either.

If I was considering the 5.5 I have found this
As it was registered in Milton Keynes and is a high spec, my guess is that it's an ex-MBUK car, as was my pre-facelift PPP car. There were quite a few early Biturbo cars registered to MBUK, presumably to "get the market moving", and all have lots of options on them.

This one just popped up.

93k but seems to have more options.

Says it has sports dynamic seats but I cannot see the controls for it - they look like the normal ones.

Much as though I would like the 6.2 I'm mentally struggling to pay more for one over the 5.5!

So I have the spec sheet of this, its better than advertised, most notably it already has an LSD:

Anything missing that is a 'must have'?

the advert says it has " FULL SPORT DYNAMIC SEATS, MEMORY SEATS, MASSAGE SEATS,"

But I cannot see these - am I missing something?

I fancy the cooled, massage seats but not a deal killer for me (if the price was right!)

My old one (2012, with Option P30- AMG Package, has the heated/cooled/massage seats; the only indication in the datacard is "front seat climate control".

Both my E63's had Comfort-ventilated front seats (listed as Option Code 401) and Dynamic Multi-Contour seats (listed as Option Code 432). I see neither on the datacard you posted, but they're easy enough to spot if present ;)

Definitely no dynamic/massage seats on that one, you can see it has only has the basic control wheels for the lumber support - no buttons.

Can I get some info please...

There appears to be some type of update in 2010 but I can't find anything on it on Google.

What does it entail? Just cosmetics? The grill is obvious.

The grey car appears to have an aftermarket grille, otherwise the cars are the same (other than optional extras).

I was 100% on the 6.2 then moving my current LPG kit for £1200 or so to give me 30%-ish cheaper fuel costs (works out about a year payback)

I am having my head turned by the 5.5 being basically the same price as the 6.2 though

Nice spec, but having owned an E63 in Designo Diamond White I'd mention that touching up stone chips is an absolute nightmare as it’s impossible to match the colour with a touch-up pencil. SMART repairs are pretty much out of the question for the same reason, so if it has any minor scuffs that you’re not happy with, budget for a panel respray. Not trying to put anyone off, just making sure there’s no nasty surprise.

There is a good reason for that, drive both and let us know when you purchase the 6.2

lol!

The unfortunate truth is that I'm struggling to secure a test drive anywhere - too old for dealers (the cars, not me!) and local garages will only let me drive if I put a deposit on.

If you just buy whichever model you can find and never test drive the other you cannot be disappointed that the model you bought is not as good as the other, simples

But you will always wonder:D

There will always be 'smaller engined' turbo cars to drive....there will not be many big NA's to drive in the future.

The bi-turbo loses the hydraulic steering as well I think?
