Is this lorry driver a bully or intoxicated?

Not the 'right' answer I know, but wasn't the lorry driver better off going into lane 1 and carrying on his way? I know lanes 1 and 3 are both going to be 'wrong' but at least it is a lane he is allowed to drive in. Unless there was a car too close in lane 1

If the car had been in lane one, the lorry would have overtaken in lane 2 and then gone back to lane 1.

This. It was pure baiting in order to get some footage to sell some dash cams at exorbitant prices.

I'm not a vindictive person, but I really hope this scam monger gets what's coming to him.

True C, I agree the car was baiting and was in the wrong. I'm just thinking which was the lesser of two evils considering the circumstances.

I also retract my first opinion of the trucker who although did some dangerous silly driving, was still not half a cnut as the car driver

There was another truck just behind him in lane 1 , probably just as frustrated as the one who overtook .

Interestingly that webpage is blue with blue checks at the bottom obviously designed to make it look official. I suppose we have to be thankful he didn't become the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Pay me £60 and the Police may look at your evidence.

The bloke and his ex Chief Constable partner are greedy snakes , end of.

He comes across very professional on his website and vlogs. Very welcoming to the naive but essentially a cowboy out fit which with recent events is being uncovered.
Unfortunately there's plenty of sharks like him out there waiting to bite.

"It’s dark, no lighting, you have been doing 49mph for 20+ miles due to being in a 50mph speed controlled area.

You are preparing to leave the motorway to go home. A flash of light distracts you from behind, you look into your rear view mirror...it dazzles you. You blink and re-focus, there is now a HGV bearing down on you…(my first thought was to show him I’m here and that I am a danger. I switch on my hazard lights, visible on the video, and you will note they were not on prior to that moment, and that I do NOT brake at any time).

You are clearly a potential hazard, but instead of slowing, (which he could have quite easily) the HGV continues to press on and is now dangerously close to your vehicle, blasting his horn. The HGV starts to move into lane 3.

By this time lane 1 is no longer an option for you to move to because there is another HGV to your nearside. You have one option, as I did, take off the throttle and let the HGV pass.

Already alarmed and distressed, you’re aware the HGV is partially in lane 2 with you. Imagine the feeling, a mass of metal that close to your car… all you can do is grip the steering wheel tight and hope for the best. The following traffic anticipate a major incident and back off.
"

What a complete load of ****e.

Just for context:

If he was doing an indicated 49mph there is a good chance that he was actually doing less, say 46mph.

The lorry driver will most likely have a more accurate idea of actual speed and might realise that the cameras are set a little above 50mph and so is travelling at a true speed of 55mph so nearly 10mph faster than our man in the car resolutely refusing to use lane 1.

True, I can sit at '53/54' in a 50mph average speed zone and its in reality 49/50

Someone told me at some point, that those speed cameras in these areas don't apply to HGV's? Hence why they do more than 55 (a real 55, not the speedo 55) However I'm not sure if that is true. They do always seem a lot faster than cars when we're doing the speed limit

All speed camera's apply to HGV's, and their speedo's are all 100% accurate. They are tested and calibrated every few years, and will fail the mot if out of date. Most are also electronically limited to 56mph.
