MB Coventry

Well you remember all the problems I had when buying mine, it's still on going so much so they've just had to pay my local body shop £700 to sort out issues and that's the second time I've had money out of them since picking it up. My brothers trying to buy a RS4 and Audi are just as useless and taking the pi$$ with part ex values

I drove a distance to Stoke Audi and I have to say the best dealership experience I've ever had.

I'm just buying from Tetbury Audi and they have been great, brother went to Stafford got ignored and left after 15mins

Popped into MB Coventry today to ask about pervious service history on a potential private car I'm thinking about buying. They were very unhelpful and reluctant in helping me. MB Birmingham on the other hand were great and nothing was too much to ask. Poor show MB Coventry!!

See my other thread MB Coventry were disgusting at customer service when I went in!

I was in Inchcape Cov on thursday to enquire about servicing and satnav updates for my lowly 2008 diesel and they were friendly, helpful and informative. I think it depends how you come across. I'm always clear about exactly what I want and expect, friendly but firm.

MB Stafford are pretty good, but then ive only ever gone in wanting parts, the parts guy George, is a top man.

Not MB but we was talking about Audi :)

Coventry's parts department have been very good to me in the past. Even give me 10% off most parts. Ask for Matt, very helpful.

Avoid!

Went in today as in thinking going for something more modern.

C63 in there for sale W205 model and the guy couldn't have been more unhelpful and well, arrogant.

He had obviously sized me up when I walked in as being a pauper so chose not to help and just be rude.

After 5 minutes of talking to me another of his customers came in so he left me sat at his desk waiting for 15 minutes while he spoke to the other chap.

Then tried to convince me that his crappy PX offer was down to the fact that every MB they trade in goes to auction regardless of whether they can retail or not. He must have thought I'd just fallen off the funny farm bus.

Anyways MB Coventry you are the worst dealer I've been in so far!

So, he sent you to Coventry?

Being 'Sent to Coventry' is an old phrase Stu.

"Around 1640 there was a civil war in England, the city of Coventry was strongly Parliamentarian. Royalist (the other side in the war) troops captured in Birmingham were sent for imprisonment in Coventry, where they were ostracised and shunned."

Thanks Ant,

It wasn't my best joke ever and if it needs explaining then it's even worse.
