MBClub Summer GTG

Mark - I'd appreciate some company near the skip (in fact, I could hide the M3 behind your Touareg when they start to throw the rotten tomatoes!!)

BTW - nice choice with the Touareg - have driven them a few times, and was taken round the 4x4 experience at the Motorshow in one a couple of weeks ago. The driver thought it was funny to stop half way up the big metal 38 degree ramp to show us the hill-holder function - I wanted to get out!!

MBClub. The independant club run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, for all German marques apart from Mercedes Benz :D

So, are you going to have a TT to bring along by then???

I guess the odds are probably not, as I am after a very low mileage high spec car.

However, if I get a call to say ones been found, the money is wating, so you never know!

Sorry, I've never added to this thread to say I'm really sorry I wont be able to make this GTG. I really would like to though.

A story from Maffs GTG though that made me laugh! My wife spilled a bottle of water over her trousers whilst sat in my car. She was soaked through but you will recall it was a very hot day so she took her trousers off and I hung them over the wire fence behind our car to dry. Meanwhile all you guys innocently kept walking around the cars looking at everyones mods and she was sat in my car with a map on her lap smiling to you all and trying to keep her modesty!!

Someone posted a picture at the time of a car with my wifes trousers over the fence in the background!

All those cars and we don't notice a woman undressing. LOL

You had better get your windows tinted before you come to any more GTGs :D

With a description like that, try selling the map on ebay.....

What do you mean hide your car behind mine!!!!

Thanks m8, It will do for now and yes the hill start is wierd its also good at junctions etc...

Did you get the air suspension Mark? I like the way you can adjust the height and jack it right up.

Probably too late to suggest it now, but DentWizard would make a killing there if they turned up... I'd have two panels done for starters!

I wouldn't have the merc tinted (yet) and the only other car I could offer would be my (ahem) Calibra. Better stick with the Nova for now I reckon. ;)

Ian.

I'm having a secret mod done to mine!

The mods will be done next week and hopefully I should get the car back by Saturday !!!!

Well I've been busy...

Nothing like a meet to get some motivation going. Wheels bought, brake discs and pads replaced, all I have to do now is find time to give the old girl a wash.

Ian.

I too have just finished a secret mod, I wonder who will notice it/them?

just got back from the bodyshop - my car is NOT ready!!!!

FFS they better have it ready!

This means my car will for the first time ever not be waxed for the GTG (assuming I get it back this afternoon)

Oh dear... that'll be the attendance halved then... ;)

I believe Jimmy's booked a silage tanker to pass by just after lunch to apply paint protectant to the non-MB cars parked round the corner.

Ian.
