Yes bud although not quite as bad, I think the Solenoid gets stuck when the fluid is cold, then with abit of heat it free's up and engages the TC at correct rate. The Post from the Usa forum says it all really. Car is booked into MB Chelmsford Next Thursday for a diagnosis i've expressed my view of what i think it could be so it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

Thanks buddy i know the 5g can be abit lumpy 1st change but this one is by far the worst, You wouldn't want it if you'd bought it new like that. Smooth as butter once warm though.

Its enough to jolt your head off the head rest upon shifting on very light throttle aprox 20mph, Still we will see what they say.

It's a Mb Specialist in Braintree, Under the banner of Waterhouse i believe, And of course i don't know how the conversation went with the previous owner, they may have just requested a Oil fluid and filter change not a complete flush if there is a such a thing or difference even. I've always done mine by draining then driving a hundred or so and doing it again then again with new filter, on the third time the fluid is all nice and red.

Try the Olly / PCS method instead? Get the 7.5L out in one hit.
It's not hard and saves time, plus no wasting of that pricey ATF.

Well seeing as the car is just sitting about waiting for thursday thought id make a start on the Heater Valve, Dam i forgot what a Pitta of a Job it was, Tbh ive got the Valve out and the new one ready togo in, But... I tired and CBA so going to finish it off tomorrow.

Here's what a Knackered Valve looks like, Exactly like the one that came out of Brutus, I love cars that don't need anything doing to them lol

The Box is lovely when warm, its only the 1st 2 miles it's snatcy, So i think its a Fluid pressure problem, either weak pump in which case id have thought it would do it all the while or a Valve body with duff solenoids which free up when warm and supply the correct pressure of fluid to the TC

Oil pump for the front i've seen for around £375
Valve Body with Solenoids and conductor plate i've seen for £475

You have then have the Trouble of fitting either or both of the above, I may do this myself or if my Friend at MB can sort something Ask them to do it.

It also may just be me being picky, But i wouldn't had thought a car of this ilk would behave this way from new. And i've had at least 15 mercs in the past,

We will hopefully see next week.

Heater Valve all fitted and i now have 4 zone Aircon instead of 1 and a 1/2!

Also got the log book back in my name so fitted my new Plate holders and Plates back on, Looks just like my Old Cdi did now haha

I have been waiting 4 weeks for mine! I have made 3 calls and had to write to them twice, simply because they didn't know their own procedures. I did get a letter last week saying it would be done on the 28th (today) so hopefully get it in a few days.
