Modified e55 AMG w211 on eBay

Not sure what to make of this one, nice enough car but question the bhp claims given that only £4k spent on the engine and I prefer AMG genuine wheels?
I'm interested to see what it sells for to give us e55 owners some idea of price, there was some talk of serious devaluing of these cars but I've not noticed anything more than standard depreciation?

There's a 54 plate W211 E55 on at £13k which is a bit more sensibley priced than that.^^

I might do in spring, it's a trade off between a garage queen summer car and keep mine or sell it and get a nice road car given the fact I've had my e55 well over 2 years now

EDIT @ Sweetpea: Not sure what book is now but £13k sounds spot on to me for the one you suggested - not this one in the OP.

I bought mine for £17.5k back in 03/11 and we are coming up to a year now.

Mine has clocked up 55k now so not sure if that alters the value from £13k much.

The one on eBay is getting on a bit and I would expect to see a list of mods to 'prove' the claimed power.

I wonder how many other children he has for that to not be big enough.

Be a shame if you did sell yours as these cracking cars...

If you do sell it and are interested in selling parts to replace with standard, let me know...

wouldn't touch a E55 that has had NOS in it, if it hasnt been used properly its a potential time bomb of things which may go wrong due to the stresses put on the engine. Cylinder #8 is the most common issue

Seems to sit far lower than mine, especially at the rear, and the photos are too blurry. If I were selling mine via the web, I would make sure they were crystal clear. Might just be my iPad, but I can't even tell whether it has the Pano.

When I got mine (reg'd Nov '05) last Sept I got a quote for gap insurance, as it was just within the 5 year-old limit for acceptance. The insurers calculated a little over £17k as agreed value..

the car has a 178 pulley and Nos was done from Wizrds of Nos,
Nos has olny been used once, ther car is running around 540 bhp without Nos,
He brought the car for £17,000 about 5 months ago!

I did wonder if size was the real reason.

There were 4 in my family and if all of us could fit in a 1986 Ford Orion, I'm pretty sure 3 could fit in an E Class, given I quite easily fit in one now at 6'4"...
