YOU endangered your little sister and sadly I feel YOU also endangered your mother and father? I say this with the utmost of respect to you and clearly your very nice family. If you had simply let this lunatic go, it would have been a very safe, but boring journey. Why on earth chase after this imbecile and then blast (honk) your horn at them?

John the misery

A little harsh that is John.

Have a nana :bannana: and :)

Cant beleive all this doom and gloom. Anyone would pip the horn or give a certain hand gesture perhaps. Its a lot different to say the incident KLP had. Its probably fair to say that even had fnkhan68 not said a word this bloke would have been provoking the situation anyway.

Funny, I always thought a farthing was a type of old bicycle.

You mean there used to be coins called farthings? Must have been a long time ago!

If you weren't so successful at your day job I would say you had a career as a comedian.
You always manage to put a smile on my face, especially when in the passenger seat of your SLK.

Wasn't it a Penny Farthing? which i assume was in relation to the big and small wheels. ie penny and farthing! and not the price it was.

2d and sixpence.

and i think a farthing was quarter of a penny.

A farthing was indeed a very much used coin of the realm. I remember as a very young child buying blackjacks that were a farthing each. Then the next coin of value was a half penny called a hape-ney, then of course we had a penny. The penny farthing was so called because the large front wheel was so big compared to the very small back wheel. When you placed a penny alongside a farthing, it looked just like the bicycle.

I'm farly sure we used to have a silver three penny piece which was downgraded to the more common multi sided three penny peice. Then the six penny piece, closely followed by the one shilling, two shillings.... yawn!!!

Half a crown
Crown
Ten shilling note
Pound note
Guinea
Half sovereign
Sovereign

I have no knowledge of the proper value of the last two.

John the bore
