Hi All,

If it helps to restore the good/crap balance...

As I walked down to the bus stop this morning - at the end of my very busy street, a guy had been knocked off his bike. He looked ok, but a little shaken up. I noticed the driver of the van involved looking a little frantic, running around, having pulled over.

I wandered over to the cyclist and offered to help him out - he was really appreciative of the assistance. I gave him a piece of paper and made sure that he was able to speak coherently and record the details of the van that hit him.

The driver was really worried, and was stopping traffic to see if anyone saw him do it - the funny thing was, he seemed to be doing it to help the cyclist rather than to get away with it.

I left them to it, as they were dealing with it quietly and like decent men.

Nice to see adults dealing with a problem sensibly.

Dinosaur eggs and watermelon gobstoppers were a favourite too:D

:D What about sherbert flying saucers?

Nothing beats our black jacks along with the rhubard and custard chews though. I wonder if they were the cause of so many dentist visits? :D

I'm farly sure we used to have a silver three penny piece which was downgraded to the more common multi sided three penny peice. Then the six penny piece, closely followed by the one shilling, two shillings.... yawn!!!

John the bore

that reminds me.

if you file down the edges off the new 50p, it works great as a 10p in the coffee machines.

the same aplies for 20p down to 5p's but its a damn sight more fiddly.
