the delearship removed the wheels and changed them for me for free

dont like them i have to say - prefer them plain black but thats just me and im no means the majority!- as this thread shows if you like them and its the look your looking for then thats all that matters matey

I had no choice as this is what merc is selling at their official workshop

just got my merc 3 months ago and a you can see in there new c class owners threads those who have picked theres up just a week ago have the plain ones - im sure you will be able to get plain as all the new classes that are been picked up dont have these on them - the shop may tell you this is all they have but as the evidence shows its untrue - but if you prefer them then its all good keep them but if you dont id be taking them straight back

Yes i have observed this as well, on the new cars i am not seeing these wipers, but when i wanted replacement for my c class, they gave me these, and since they were genuine from official workshop i didnt bother much

ah well there you go you like them so then no problem mate - my reference was to having no choice as sounded as if you kept them becasue of that if so there is always a choice and you can get them changed - but you like them so all good!

Just finished making these up for the new car. Bit fiddly buy worth the effort IMO. Was in two minds between these and the pressed metal ones.

there are a couple of people on this thread who have fitted the CKS one themselves, and commented on it being relatively straight forward and a very nice fit in comparison with the original one.

THIS IS THE GRILL THAT GIVES THE MALALIGNMENT AS LISTED IN PRIOR TREADS BECAUSE OF THE BORDER BEEN TO THICK WHEN THE BONNET IS CLOSED

i had seen this prior and looks really smart too if you achieve a good fitment like but if you go on mbworld and other sites where i researched into this grill before choosing some people get not a great fit when the bonnet is closed so just make sure you get it right buddy - which im not sure if is down to technique or what supplier you get it from (as all will have slight differences in fitment)

FOR ME AND MOST OF US THE CKS GRILL PRDUCED THE BEST FIT AND FINISH. I HAD MINE FITTED BY THE DEALER BUT IT IS SO EASYOTHRS ON HERE HAVE DONE IT THEMSELVES

This wont be a original c63 grill made by merc on a c amg sport - i put my medical degree on it!ha - after so much OCD time spent researching this i found - the bonnet and the front are two total different sizes so an original c63 frill cant be put on it this im 100 percent sure off - like on the thread link i posted c63 look a like grills that have the size change can - but the ones with the border have fitment probs as highlighted hence the cks been a popular choice as its border-less hence avoids this problem.

on the picture you have posted you will see that the left hand corner is slightly higher than the right and if looked at side on -(as shown in the thread link i posted) the fit imbalance will be noted - but that depends on how OCD you are with the finish

hey matey as rich says if you go some pages back big detail here and slo on the new c class owners discussion about it - i had mine done at the dealer free just cause i was getting a few other bits done but as many have done - with the cks grill its been a quick job!:bannana:
