She's missing out! My GF seems to like going to the NW GTGs because she gets to have a gossip with the other halves of the other members (some of whom are also members!).not sure about dinner & dance. i know my wife wouldnt want to come as she thinks the forum and general "enthusiasum about mercs" is sad

The best thing about GTGs is that we're all like-minded and although the conversations tend to be pretty car-heavy they don't have to be and often wander off to all kinds of subjects!

What about a meet in the day and then something like the "Black Tie and Pie" event in the evening like the one that that Pistonheads have? (sorry to mention PH) at a hotel in the Midlands. I organise an annual event for a engineering society I am involved with and it works well and I have some great 24hour deals with hotels all over the country.
Maybe we can have a "No tie and don't be shy event" organise a dinner / dance and bring our other halves or am I just being too ambitious?
I'll throw my hat into the ring and say I'm willing to help organise if the mods and admin think its a runner.
Would be good to do something that involves all of us :bannana:
We need somewhere more central like Birmingham if there is a venue available ......

The centre of the UK is actually Wakefield in West Yorkshire. So I guess central would be a 20 - 25 mile radius of that?
