Never buying Merc again. Pretty depressed atm..

I dont need to answer to anyone on here.

I work hard and enjoy my cars.

Having bought my first Mercedes i must say it has left a sour taste in my mouth.

If any of you had any idea what i have gone through with this bloody dealer you will understand my prediciment.

I dont lead such a sheltered life that i have to make tripe up on some vbulletin webboard..
you posted a problem,a few people on here offered advice on how to solve it ,we understand how you must be feeling, surely there is no need to start insulting people for making sure they have the right facts so they can offer better advice

I dont need to answer to anyone on here.

You came here for some advice, and to vent a little about your situation, in order for the helpful and knowledgable people here on this forum to help you they simply asked for you to expand a little on some of the points you rasied - things were a little "unclear" - such as with who signed for and received the vehicle (you or your Dad ? 2 different versions..)

If any of you had any idea what i have gone through with this bloody dealer you will understand my prediciment.

Well we are trying to understand, if you could help by filling in the blanks ?

I may have missed it, but did you name and shame the dealer? That would seem only right to help ensure no one else on this forum falls foul of this practice.

Why not simply reject the car?

CALM DOWN....

Seriously, you aren't doing yourself any good or favours.

You've bought a car from a respectable Mercedes dealer and after a load of hassle getting it delivered it turns out to be troublesome.

On calling out the Assist people you find there is a mileage discrepancy. This becomes more concerning when you find the service book is a duplicate and the previous mileages are significanlty different.

The next step is to contact the dealer and check your paperwork, which is also incorrect to both the car and service history.

So, in this situation would I be a bit concerned/p**sed off/stressed. YEP..!

Would I back the car to the dealer....YES.

would I involve Mercedes....YES..

Just take a while to calm down, tell the dealer to take the car away and refund you and let Mercedes get on with dealing with them.

Just get your money refunded and buy another one.

Otherwise you will always be thinking about this issue and it may come back to haunt you at sale time.

Good advice. I did just that last year, and ended up with a car I'm delighted with. They redunded the cash no problem at all.

Why was the car not simply rejected when you had the right?

I can still reject it. But Merc are investigating the dealership...

I have been given 100% promise from MB that i will recieve a full refund if i am not happy once the investigation has finished.

I work hard and enjoy my cars...

And none of the rest of us work hard?

Having bought my first Mercedes i must say it has left a sour taste in my mouth. ..

Why tarnish an entire make with the same brush?

If any of you had any idea what i have gone through with this bloody dealer you will understand my prediciment...

Did you go to hell and back? Did you have to take up arms? For god's sake there are much worse things going on in people's lives get a grip.

I understand your frustration but why take it out on this forum.... chill out

It is Stratstone..

Was it sold as an approved used?

I know some vehicles are sold as 'non qualifying' approved used sometimes, if they don't fall into the criteria.

Its not an offense to sell a car with a clocked speedo.

Sold as an approved used with full warranty..despite a 60k mileage discrepency.

I am as confused as most here. The assyst guy phoned me after checking the car out again. That electronically the car has done 62k miles. This is official he told me, and he is going to write it up in black and white to ASSYST who then send it to MB UK.

But the paperwork has 37k on and then a jump to 92k on.

So they tried to change the eeprom i think and then changed the paperwork. Even though they dont match...

LAUGHABLE..

I've been reading this thread with interest. I can fully understand your frustration with the situation and was hoping you'd get it all sorted.

Nearly all the members of this forum would give you good advice and 'are' on your side.

Perhaps a quick apology to those who had posted previous to your outburst maybe in order.

Jay.

Hard to follow?

Do you need a map with directions...

Piss off the lot of you.. *****!

You lot are thicker than the dum-dums at this garage..

My cars been clocked by a Merc garage.

Even the assit guy today confirmed it. The EEPROM is full of junk..

for someone who is supposed to be an accountant http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=51396 you don't have a very professional manner or is this typical for your profession

So in post 21 you said it was Stratstone our we now being told this is not true?

See also post 40.

We don't know Donzas location but I'm guessing Scotland, which could explain how the car came from a Stratstone Dealer "Down South ?" (ie Leeds, Preston etc etc)

I have a commercial relationship with Pendragon (owners of Stratstone) and I am not aware of any Merc dealerships in the south of England (although to be fair I only service the ones north of Derby these days...)

They also have MB outlets in Scotland...

I have been away for 3-months and I'm greeted by this utter rubbish.

Donza, if you cant get your story straight and people find you out please don't stoop to the level of a BMW driver, this is a Mercedes forum after all:D
