So using a custom disc then? do you mean thickness wise you'd need 32mm?

R35 pads are majorly overpriced though, one thing i want to avoid when going with bigger discs (when i get my 20's)

Yes the e63 uses the same pad as gtr but thicker so if we used a 32mm width disc we can use r35 pads.. my question is then though will we be more prone to cracking discs? Apparently not if we used j hook or grooved I'm being told

I have a barely used set of Ferodo DS2500 if anyone wants them. Will come with a sensor blank also.

These pads are way better than the standard items.

If Luke doesnt take these i'll have them as a spare set.


But regarding moving down to a 32mm thick disc, thats quite thin in terms of heat management, i mean its a heavy car, it already has (in my opinion the too small wheels and small brakes)
RS6 come with 380mm out the box and 420mm Ceramics, i ran 410mm AP Racing Steels on my C6.
I'll be looking to move upto a 20" wheel soon, maybe some vossens i dont know, lot of money just for wheels really.
But yeah then some nice big 410mm brakes to finish off the Benz!

Just read your post again, did you change gearbox oil/filter by yourself - Mine needs doing soon and Merc want around £500!

Also, have you upgrade air filters? If so which did you use?
