New Top Gear Series Starts Next Sunday

That was a lovely Merc. Though I am British and patriotic, I preferred it over the Rolls. The Merc would turn many more heads than the Rolls.

Does that actually belong to Clarkson? He didn't just by it for the show?

Definitely his

Yup, there's no way the BBC would have paid £15k for servicing/repairs!

Its definately his own.. but dont think he's had it long... Im sure its the one that was for sale in ireland a while back.. It was priced at £28K.

He parked at Soho NCP car park and didn't get out to dent the doors, sandwiched between the wall and a Range Rover.:D

£15k for the last service.

Can buy a Mondeo.

Did anyone else notice that shortly after Clarkson drove off in the 4x4 with the hounds chasing him. The drag came undone and from then on there was just a piece of rope and for the last third, not even a dangling piece of string!

John

Apparently Clarksons wife bought it for him as an anniversary present. What a wife!

Last one for the series on tonight and it looks like a jam packed episode.

What??

Six episodes? Is that it?

Never mind spending my licence fee on galavanting round the world on their silly challenges - I want a light-hearted but informative programme about CARS!

I can't wait for Fifth Gear to return - a proper car show, about cars you own, cars you see and cars you (reasonably) aspire to own.

Please enlighten me what happened back in the 90s, I didn't follow because I was too busy then.

Top Gear was at BBC2, and I remember Tiff Neddle was on it, how come he jumped the bandwagon and ended up in Fifth Gear with the producer Woolrolf. I thought he was the original producer at Top Gear, was he sidekicked by Andy Wilman?

Where can I read the timeline of Top Gear and Fifth Gear?

Two things I took from tonights entertaining episode......

I want an Ariel Atom, the Supercharged one.

But I really want a little tank thing that fires paint balls!

And there is no mechanical sound more beautiful than a Rolls Royce Merlin engine, makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

when tiff left top gear, they went to a channel called UK something forming top gear GTI, before 5th gear.
hammond came from men and motors, used car heaven and jason dawe left the first new top gear episode to form used car roadshow with penny mallory who was on driven with mike brewer,(now on autotrader/ pulling power), jason plato now on 5th gear and james may now on top gear.
original top gear was noel edmonds, then went to JC,tiff, quentin wilson, vicky

Minor correction. Original Top Gear was Raymond Baxter then William Willard, Tony Mason, Chris Goffey, Sue Baker, etc..
