Now I go back and read the eBay page in detail, I see that it was over 100k before 31st Mar 2006. Therefore, this car does not 12 months of BMW extended warranty - unless BMWGB did the owner a very special deal indeed.

The new engine's warranty would be very specific and probably only worth anything in the event of another major engine failure.
