And I must say that it's quite telling that our lot are inclusive of all Mercedes, not just certain ones, which is out of order in my opinion...

There are also some great photo opportunities on this route if you are into that sort of thing, or you could get a tart from Bakewell
Would love to come but a little far for me no matter how good the eggs are, although a Bakewell tart might be worth it.
I agree, well at least the out of order piece
lol
I can safely say that it wasn't my idea this time! :bannana:
Will drive up on Saturday pm - any recommendations on a local place to stay overnight would be appreciated?
The best bet would be around East Midlands Airport which is only 2 junctions down from the service area where we are meeting. Try the Hilton last time I stayed there it was very cheap £30, also there is the Days Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Then in the Village of Kegworth you have Yew Lodge Hotel and The Kegworth Hotel These are normally £40 ish. Check out laterooms.com and search around Tibshelf & Kegworth for more bargains.
Depending on what time you plan on arriving there maybe one or 2 up for a bite to eat Satuday night as we have a few people not far from there.
If you need anything else just shout
It won't be me driving it, but maybe, just maybe, there could be one of the rarest Mercedes ever coming on this trip if I can talk the owner round...
I doubt we will keep up on the twisty bits...Now this sounds interesting, I'm intrigued hope you can talk him round.

He's actually got two of this model, but this one is a lot rarer.
I think it'll come down to what the weather forecast is to be honest, I doubt he'll bring it out if it's wet ground or if there's a strong chance of rain.
