The three things you mention are almost certain to be present faults on a W208 CLK. As a dealer he should have sorted them.

I know we always do.

However if you want them fixed, you do have to offer him the opportunity to sort them out by taking the car back.

Glad your sorted and happy, just be careful doing those speeds in the uk you will not have a nice car for long.

Having had a few convertibles (never a merc) I tended to find the quicker car I actually bought you just end up cruising, roof down shades on

yes speed kills, it just didnt feel i was going that fast, felt like 70's not 110mph , the car is just so smooth and 6 speed and a reverse,keep forgetting i have another gear most of the cars i have had a 5 gears plus a reverse, never 6th gear, will take pictures at weekend for you guys............

In my young children free days I had MX5's, Z3 and a 330. With a little one I swapped the 330 cab for the ML. If you saw me trying to fit the baby seat and all that goes with it in the BM you would know why.

I miss the rrof down days but there will be chance again as she grows up.

I enjoy the ML for now, quite different being sat high up and loads of room. I know what you mean about the not knowing your doing it speed wise. Have you got cruise? I tend to use that a lot as 40mph feels like 30 etc so its too easy to be going over the speed.

yes has cruise seems strange goes fast the slows well it doesnt slow you just feel the car ,weird,and speed limiter set it to 50 today and you press has hard as you want and wont go over 50, great if you know there are many speed camera set it to 32mph on a 30mph limit as they allow you 5 mph over as the motorway cameras are set at 84mph , i have friend who sets them..........

Would a MB dealer sell an 8 year old car ?

I always assume it will be spot on mechanically or will be made spot on and anything visual is buyer beware - I always buy on that premise and pay accordingly for the vehicle

Stratstone (Mercedes Preston) sold me a 51 reg C200K Avantgarde last summer... so that's 7 years old. Lowish mileage, good bodywork, spotless interior... and it drives just as good as a new car. I've never bought a second hand car that has been anything like as good. One minor defect discovered was fixed the following week, and a loan car was provided for the couple of hours.

Full warranty package, great aftersales. They lent me a new 09 reg C class a month or two ago when I was back in for a service... but I was grateful to get back into my own car.
