Still working on it.
Got the CLK as transport, just been running around all day doing jobs to earn brownie points.
Am about halfway there.

Have a great time guys (and girls)!

Would have liked a trip out to Torquay, but a friend's birthday and being 'on call' for work this w/end have put a stop to that.

Looking forward to seeing the photos etc :)

Will

I hate to say this but it is tipping it down at present. I'm having an industrial dispute with one of my employee's who thinks it's stupid to wash a car in the rain!!! Is he heading for a thick ear or what? ;)

ALL the weather pundits have predicted rain for today, but much nicer weather tomorrow?

Has everyone now got directions of how to get here?

For any lumberjacks amongst you, please feel free to fetch your tools down here as some bushes have now grown into tree's and are starting to block my beautiful view?

All of you PLEASE take care,

Regards,
John

1-30pm and it's stopped raining

Andy_K has safely arrived, what a pity the sun has not come out to greet him and his good lady. Fingers crossed for tomorrow,
John

I'm glad it's raining, saves me washing it!
Forecast is good for tomorrow.

Thanks for all the information John. I look forward to meeting you tomorrow.

I'll be making my way across to the M6 at 6-00am and following Ian down.
I would let him follow me but he has a history of running into the back of things.. :p

I hope the weather has been kind to you guy's and guyesses on the English Riviera.

Everyone has now finally left, unfortunately janner missed meeting all the travellers (Mike1 and his lovely lady wife were still here to meet him) but his appearance was so much appreciated considering his commitments.

The weather was perfect with a nice cool breeze and we even had a guest appearance by 'Whiskey Bravo' the famous Coast Guard rescue helicopter based at Portland.

To say I had a terrific time would be a gross understatement. I don't get out nowadays so the poor visitors had their ears bent.

Maff very kindly gave numerous trips around the bay, not quite leaving rubber, but that deep rumble of the V8 was something I will not readily forget.

Everyone's sense of humour was brilliant and quite painful at times. (It only hurts when I laugh) I hope the ladies were not too bored with all the technical talk.

I feel sooo sorry for Mike1 with his new car, but I will not steal his thunder by telling his sad tale.

I am glowing like a beetroot from sun burn and I am just so grateful to everyone for making it such a memorable day. This excellent forum is more like a band of brothers whose kindness knows no bounds.

THANK YOU very much

I will see what pictures if any my son has taken and will post them if they have turned out.

Bye for now,
John

I forgot to thank all my family for all the hard work they put in, including the removal of deposits left by our local aerial residents!! Abig Thank you and a special XXX for my hard working wife.

Sounds like a great day. Making me jealous I could not come. I fear I have missed out on one of the landmark GTGs but sadly my commitment to getting back on the property ladder left me no choice but to stay home and not spend any money.

Hope you (or others) have some pictures to share.

John,

I'm so pleased you had a good day. Its a mark of what people think of you that they all made the trip and that you enjoyed it so much. Sorry I couldnt be there.

My day was made by watching my 5 year old son pass his karate grading this afternoon!

No doubt I'll catch up with you elsewhere on the forum during the week. DONT FORGET THE PICTURES!!!!

Cheers,
