The problem with this reset malarky is that the only reason that the 'box/ throttle picked up the "soft" settings in the first place is because of our usual driving styles, with so much traffic around on all the roads.
So a reset gives a livelier performance, but after a few days the 'box starts thinking: "Hang on, what a sedate old codger I have behind the wheel here! I know, I'll slip into sloppy-dozy mode 'coz they really aren't giving me much of a work out. Can't even think why he reset me, he obviously doesn't appreciate the effort I took to be responsive." Of course, the 'box brain doesn't know you are commuting down clogged-up roads day after day, hence the average of 12mph.
If you insist on doing regular resets, be aware that the gearbox will become suspicious, untrusting and eventually resentful of your demands. At that point, it will take more than a bunch of flowers to sort it out.
