Firstly, apologies to Mark300SL for pinching your pic as reference - hope you don't mind?!

BUT, I love the style of these cars. What are they and what reckon to having one made up with reliable running gear and some bespoke interior touches? Costly to do?

Picture? - you are welcome I have hundreds more :D

They are "Legends"
The Legend is a 5/8 scale copy of a full size race car with yamaha bike running gear. They are tiny!! As they are made purely as racecars you might find difficulties in getting one road registered due to SVA and model report restrictions.
You cant road register a car without a "Model Report" and these cost at least £10k if you dont need to crash test one!

Therefore - go and buy one and go RACING in it :)

They remind me of the old Ford Prefect and Popular which looked like this:

But lots of folks modify them

Druids at Brands Mark?
#32 is Peter Morton.

The engines are 1250cc, producing 122bhp.
These cars are only 46" tall.
They look like you could pick them up one handed, but when they crash and wheels come off, they are a pig to move.

I have been after one of these for ages! I was offered on about 7 years back by a friend of a friend. but when I went around to pay and pick it up. they had sold it to someone else even though a price was agreed with me! I wouldn't have minded too much, but when you fork out £230 for the hire of a trailer to move it, it tends to p*ss you off a bit when you get there and they sold it to someone else...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned these:

Perhaps not the most glamourous of Mercs, but beautiful, timeless and classic lines.

I think I would be very slightly miffed!!!

The legend cars are really a small covering which covers all four wheels and is totally unsuited for any type of road use. The Ford shape is certainly an eye catching shape and unmodified would be totally unsuited for racing ;) (It might get up the slope at Brands)

It's the Ford Pop I really wanted! I just wanted it to drive about as a normal car, no racing involved... I would end up shoehorning in an old C20EX from a Vauxhall or something just to keep it interesting:D

A great car to poodle about in and what an eye catching vehicle. It would be crazy to even think about racing this car as I suppose they might achieve 50mph with a following wind. The drum brakes would stop you.................... Eventually:devil: :)

I was infield for the DMN race that day - switched to outside for the inevitable Druids carnage later on :D
