hi guys looking to get back into the c63 amg now as the offers seem good... wondering if you could provide a hand on a few things.... more to do with what the running costs are like on the car....

to ask how have people found the car in expense and maintenance any wear issues except for the rear tyres and oil changes.... I am either looking to buy a 2011 model cash buy or lease a new cla 45 amg..... nothing bets the sound of the v8.......

thanks

Expect something similar to this around town.

AMG = Expensive. Buy a 200 cdi if you need to ask.

That consumption is crap John. I bet you can't get it lower.

hmmm 13.1 not bad ..... I was more looking if people have actually worked out their annual running cost on the car.....

it seems like a wise thing to looks at before purchasing any car .... even when the pcp deals are so good......

I had the 2010 c63 amg so wondering if the new 2011 amgs have changed much ???

You're right of course Harry, but at 15mph average you don't even get the fun factor of trying.

You're right. Nothing beats the sound of that V8.
Down to how you drive mate. You've had one before and it won't be much different now.
I have averaged nearly 22 in my estate and am on my second set of rears - which have about 5mm on them. I am at nearly 19K miles. First service cost me £240. Used about 5ltrs mobil1.
I don't hang it around roundabouts and haven't even used the race start. Just use the power when I need it.
I will add that facelift version (125 edition onwards?) is a MUCH nicer place to be IMO.

Also expect to change tyres and brakes more often, and pay more for the privilege.

Said that... it's one mighty car.

How come you guys dont buy big litre classics, as you wont loose so much in depreciation or they not your cup of tea? i hear so much anguish about the additional costs of a c63 but i guess thats what associated with that class

I have had mine for just over a year and covered 5800 miles. Computer averages 18.3mpg. I make it 17.8. I do not commute to work though so would be a lot less if i did!

It may be me but nobody has answered the question.... what does the servicing etc cost per year

Ok, got an AMG with carbon brakes, expect to pay upwards of 1500 quid for a pair of front disks, and that's just at your local Jo garage, not the dealer. So if your a nut job that HAS to have full dealer history then be prepared to willingly bend over the workbench, pants round ankles.

I think a figure of £2.50 per mile overall running costs probably isn't too far adrift for 10,000 miles per year, so add about 50ppm for about 5,000 miles per year.

I don't really get these kind of answers that say if you need to ask, you can't afford it!

I can afford it, I have an E63, still interested in what the annual running costs are!

Cheers

Gerry

thank you guys ... looking at 50-100 PPM for running costs seems to fit into the budget of owning a 6.2 litre....

I think whether you can afford a 6.2 l or a 1.1 litre is all out the window with PCP and HP deals .... even the aston martin is on 0% finance......

its more to do whether you can afford the running costs , maintenance tyres oils and god for bid any repairs that's surely is important.....

I appreciate all responses to my question.... now begins the hunt for a 2011- 2013 plate c63 amg with PPP+ and LSD.....

FleetNews has the service and maintenance costs of a new C63 @ ~10ppm doing 30k over 3 years, plus fuel of course.

My view is that I don't care - it's my hobby/pleasure (as well as the day to day wagon) and I'm prepared to pay what it takes.

I've been out today for no good reason, with Sport+, Sport+ and ESP Sport on and loved every second of it :D.

A pal of mine has 100 pairs of trainers and he loves them too :dk:.

Totally agree :thumb:

Running cost for the 55k over this first year was 48ppm averaging 24 miles/day and 24mpg

It doesn't matter what you spend on it as long as you enjoy it and you can afford it.
'Bank it spank it' as someone who has moved on to an R8 says.
