I'll echo what the others said. Great cars and great company make a great gtg. Special thanks to Maff and Scumbag for the ride. I now know that between Maff's CL and Fastlady' SL, the choice is obvious...:bannana:

Agreed - a great GTG :bannana: and good to see everyone again and catch up - it's certainly been a while - not to mention meeting quite a few new faces too of course.

Have to say the highlight of the day for me was Maff's CL55 'Low Rider' Special - which also did its bit as the world's most expensive car park heater for me when I was suffering a bit in the bitter cold! Thanks too to Grav for a ride in his 'slightly' modified E55 (what a beast and what a sound it makes!) - though it was also nice to see that a 1970s vintage 280SL could still attract more than a few admiring glances, despite being by far the most senior of the cars there!

Had 2 slight incidents with my car
1) Pulled up at traffic lights with Scott in the car and an off duty policeman waved his badge at me
2) Beat a barry'd calibra away from the lights and they followed me into the carpark, but quickly turned round and left when they saw the massive MB mafia there

I thought my car was quick now, but that CL is dangerous

He probably had the hump cos we were stopped at the previous lights and he had a 30mph rolling start.

Another incident was when Maff was in his CL65, I was in Grav's modded E55 and a certain Z3 decided to keep us company.

At the first set of traffic lights there were two lanes the Z3 was in the inside lane and Maff was in the outside lane. I was behind the Z3. The lights changed and the Z3 attempted (somewhat bravely ) to race Maff who vanished in front of the Z3s eyes!

At the next set of traffic lights there were three lanes, the Z3 inside, me in Gravs cars and Maff in the outside lane. I wound down the window and asked Maff to not keep getting in my way and slowing me down and then the lights changed and it was Z3 Vs E55

Given that the Z3 had about 160bhp and Maffs Cl has 739bhp and Gravs car about 500bhp I'm not sure what he (the Z3 driver) expected the outcome to be!

Actually there were loads of great moments! I think yesterday was the best GTG I've ever been to for any marque!

PS. I stand corrected, including a certain Mini Cooper and Citreon we had 29 cars yesterday!
