My favourite car by far is the blue/purple CLK, it sits perfect on those wheels.

Sorry couldn't make it, maybe myself and my 190 mate will attend next time.

Was meant to be my new MB Actros 2546 megaspace painted inTVR blue/purple flip.
As usual, MB messed me about, so I cancelled the order.
I didn't fancy having to have to take it for a month, then return it for painting just so they could get their end of year bonus, as it had to be registered before the end of the year:mad:

Hopefully this hasn't cost you anything. It sounds like it would have been a lean mean machine. Doesn't Actros have an excellent reputation?

Thankfully, I didn't have to put a deposit down as they had a few in stock.

Its hard to keep it off on larger horsepower trucks, especially this time of year with damp roads

Gone are the days of the 'mighty' Gardner 6LW\X. I remember walking alongside my fathers Guy Invincible 8 wheeler as it used to literally crawl up the steep hills of South Wales :) The bigger Actros with 30 tons of goods doesn't even slow down when it goes up Telegraph Hill ;)

Sorry for going off topic

Happy days,
John

Have you made more mods to your W210 Grav?

Seconded - Very fast and a fantastic sound. How can I explain. Maffs car is a iron fist in a velvet glove. Gravs engine is an iron fist! I've heard Ferraris which sounded puny compared to Gravs car! It is awesome on full song:D

Edit: BTW that is not to say its too loud especially in mormal use! It's still a Mercedes!

Thanks very much ideed for posting the picture. :bannana:

Obviously Teallite blue ;) What taste, hopefully the interior was in a similar condition.

Sorry chaps and chapess's, but this one is my favourite.

Just noticed... Someone's put the steering wheel on the wrongside???

Regards,
John

Just a bit more information about the car - it's a Californian import and it has been fully restored - though you wouldn't believe that it has 98,000 miles on the clock from the condition both inside and out! It really is in beautiful condition and is amazingly easy to get into and drive - even to the extent that the light controls were on a circular switch and the indicators and washer/wiper controls were all in the same place as my modern C Class Coupé - talk about consistency of design over such a long time! It's also quite quick for its age too - while it wouldn't keep up with Maff's CL, Grav's E55 or Scumbag's SLK55 AMG monsters it isn't far off my C200 if you put your foot down (not that I wanted to do that to such a 'grand old lady' too often! :o) and is certainly as comfortable to cruise along in.

Sadly it's not mine though :( :( - it belongs to a club called Parc Ferme that you pay an annual membership fee to and get a number of 'points' to spend on driving their rather nice fleet of classic and sports cars (including the likes of a 246 Dino, a Ferrari 328 GTS, a 911, an Austin Healey 3000 and an E Type :D as well as the 280SL). It's a really great way to have the experience of driving all these great cars without the associated hassle in terms of maintenance, insurance, storage etc. etc.

There's a little more about it here if anyone's interested and I also have a few photos of the day that I will put online some time, but I've been pretty busy this week so I haven't had a chance yet!

It was just a shame that the weather was so cold (and rainy on Sunday) so I didn't get to put the roof down all weekend :(
