    Hi everybody,

    I drive a 2001 SLK230.

My mileage ramped up at the beginning of this year to 2Kmiles/mth due to starting a new job in Cambridge. We live in St. Albans.

Just wondered what the service interval was on my car?
I was told by the Merc specialist who looks after it, that it is every 10K or 1 year, whichever comes first.

The car was last serviced (B) in Jan at 77048 miles.
It's now just down 10K since that, but nothing has popped up in the ASSYST indicator. When I looked at how miles there are to go to the next service, it is saying 2500 and that it needs a B service.

Apart from the fact, that the ASSYST system has got out of sync re. the As and Bs, it seems to be saying that the service interval is 12.5Kmiles instead of 10K miles.

Perhaps somebody could advise me here.

    Many thanks,

    bern

The system is supposed to extend the service intervals depending on how the car is driven.

It will time out after 2 years if the mileage isn't reached.

What that mileage is depends on Assyst. SWMBO gets about 12K to 12.5K between services on her SLK230.
