slk 230 R170 HID Bi xenon Upgrade

Hi, thinking of doing a HID Bi xenon Upgrade on my newly aquired k 230 R170. Have seen some kits on the internet for about £80 to £140 and was wandering if any one has fitted one of these kits. Also I have read on the Mercedes forums that the factory fitted xenons were 'self leveling', is this a vital fitment? Cheers Mark
