It's a good job I get free leccy because if I ever turned into one of those I'd have shoot to myself

There was a comedy film back in the seventies with Walter Matthau (from memory), it's the height of the Arab oil embargo and gasoline prices in the US are sky high, his neighbour just bought a brand new VW Beeatle and keeps a written log of all journeys documenting the mileage done and all refueling logging the amount of gasoline purchased, then brags repeatedly to Walter Matthau's character about how frugal his VW Beatle is.

In revenge, Walter Matthau sneaks up to the neighbour's driveway at night, syphons out some gasoline, then a few days later pours it back into the VW Beatle's tank, repeatedly.... Thus frustrating the confused neighbour efforts
