Hi All,

Not sure how many of you are actually using TTGs at the moment, but in case you are this may assist with postcode routing. Someone has generously assembled the files that were available and it seems to work ok for most.

Thanks for the link, I have downloaded the files and will give them a try once I get a bigger SD card. I am very pleased with the TTG, think it is really good, much better than the TravelPilot.

Just a couple of questions about the TTG.

What are the envelope symbols that appear in the centre of every town and village? I have tried going into POI to turn them off but cannot see anything obvious.

How do you get new mapping when it is updated? Do you have to buy a new SD card from TomTom with the new map on?

Where can you buy a spare mount and car charger?

Are you selling your Travelpilot Jimmy? I'll have it.

Wasn't planning on selling it no, would cost too much to replace it. It's got a 1GB MP3 player, remote control and is also plumbed into my phone kit. Got no idea how much it's worth or what it would cost to replace with a non sat nav unit.

help!!! - I think I've broken it!!

Was putting the "safety camera" software on and had copied it over the the SD card as you do. Disconnected from the PC using the eject hardware function then the TTG screen went on to the TomTom red hands screen and has stuck there. I can't get it to do anything. Have plugged it into the mains in case it had lost power etc - nothing, reconnected to the PC - still nothing. Any ideas?

edited to add -

Has all sprung back to life - all is well - phew!! - USB function kicked in - disconnected the USB and............

edited again -

Oh no it's not - back to tomtom screen

final edit - fixed it :bannana:

Pammy, I am thoroughly consfused. :-)

Looks like you had a prob, but is all fixed now. Good news!

yes - was behaving most bizarrely - but it is sorted now. Going to have to watch it. I did wonder if the SD card is almost full and if that was causing a prob. But I've managed to upgrade the firmware to the latest version and even though I reset it a couple of times, it's remembered all Nige had put into it and is working again.

Fingers crossed it was just a glitch :o
