Bugger! Easily done.

A cynic might argue they want people to contravene in this spot as follows: -
i) there is no traffic/CCTV camera warning sign
ii) they haven't kept the carraigeway red
iv) they haven't written Bus Lane
iii) there is no taper before the junction or any filter markings to tell you what to do
v) the end of bus lane sign is completely obscured
But like most people I'll probably just take my medicine and pay up.

True but the traffic positioning was a giveaway as it the unbroken white line and thick red one.;)

 What thick red one I can't see a red line in the first photo. I can see the Thick white one though!

the red line is in the gutter where a double yellow line would be - only in the London Red zone - it's red;)

Did you know 80% of men have some colour deficiency..

^ Exactly...I know te area shown...!

Dougal, I'd say number 1, and red route. The bus lane lines break so it isn't a valid continuation of the bus lane. They have to sign it again so drivers know the bus lane is being continued.

Used to be a van driver, dealt with Tfl many times.

having now 'studied' the road and read all of the options I would have gone for 'all of the above'.

However, how on earth you are supposed to work all of this out if the road is unfamiliar and you are stressed (i.e. lost), is beyond me.

Paid my fine today after receiving a reply to my representation refuting that the road markings and signage are at all unclear (despite my photos to the contrary) and stating that "you are not permitted to drive in the end of a bus lane to facilitate a left turn". This flies in the face of common sense since it increases congestion on the route by preventing traffic leaving it but when you are more interested in generating revenues from fines than congestion it is, presumably, logical.
I also read a number of local authority documents where changes to bus lanes were proposed to ease the flow of traffic and or make turns into junctions/side roads and in the majority of cases a negative impact was highlighted "such a change is estimated to reduce revenues from fines by £150,000 per quarter and if implemented the council will have to meet this shortfall elsewhere in the budget"!!!
