Pre facelift model would stay away.
First of all 4 speed gear box,wiring harness like to make problems,no climatronic,no parktronic.
Had few w140's and would defo look for 1996 plus model
Otherwise it is still a monster LOL

Compared to the pillarless coupes that came before & after IMO it is one ugly SOB.

If I was going out tomorrow to buy a car for say £14k this would be on the list. I guess the reserve is around 10k and it won't achieve much more and you can then get the loom done before it becomes an issue and blows the ECU(S) and waft around in a fashion unheard of elsewhere for the money. For me the 4speed box is probably a positive, I'm sure it has just about enough torque to not need gears and the 5 speed is just more unnecessary complexity.

I don't however have any money let alone 14k, shame that.
